I always liked watching the sunrise. It's peaceful, well some days I wake up in time some days not but usually most New Yorkers' need a ride around six to nine so I believe it's perfect to get some passengers. That's when I look at the sunset.

Shawn is currently sleeping and let me tell you it's amazing. In all honesty, I never show this kind of affection to any of my clients. I don't find them attractive, I don't think about them. At the same time it's probably because they don't bother to care about me.

This guy is something different, especially the idea of him wanting to go this far- like in traveling. Once again, I am determined to figure out his background story but I am aware he needs some time.

In a way I feel like he's okay with jokes, I sense he has a sweet and silly, completely admirable spot. In that case, I progressively turned up the volume of my stereo as it sang, "You're my sunrise, when I wake up..." (Hmu if you know what song lmao)

"Ca-hmmmm..." he groaned and let me tell you, that morning voice wasn't the only thing that sprang up. "Good morning Shawn." I grinned. "It's about seven. We can go get some breakfast then I'll drive you to the nearest mall. Breakfast only if you don't mind, I won't charge the miles on that." I offered. He nodded and hid back under his coat. "Should buy some pillows and comforters for you too."

He started to lay there but I could sense he wasn't going back to sleep anytime soon. It was nice being with someone for a while, getting to know someone. The longest service I went through was maybe an hour drive. He was drunk though and slurred harsh words at me offensively. I couldn't kick him out, I needed the money and I didn't want to strand him either. But now I have Shawn. I need to make the best I can out of this company.

"Hey, sir. We're here." I turned my back to check up on him. He nodded before getting up and allowing me to open the left door.

We walked into the small breakfast joint together asking for a booth for two. We sat adjacent with each other and examined the menu in silence. "Ready?" I asked. He nodded and raised his hand a tad for a waitress.

"Okay good morning sugga's can start you off with a drink?" She asked as I replied, "coffee with extra cream" as Shawn got orange juice. "Ready to order?" Her own flicked out of her hair ready to write. We nod in approval.

"Pancakes like the color of honey with powdered sugar on top, sunny side eggs, and undercooked bacon." I addressed only to have the waitress stare me down, and then at Shawn, and back.. at me? "Your turn." I passed to Shawn. "So two?" She asked me. What's she talking about, its making me giggle. "Oh he's going to ord-" she cut me off putting her notepad down, "Sweetie, he already ordered. You two both made an echo of the meal and style." Shawn slowly looked at me, impressed. "Well okay. Yeah. That's all I guess. Thanks for getting that, typically it complicates people but that's my usual." Shawn mentions as she walks off.

"Kinda cool." Shawn smiled my direction. "My boyfriend actually hates bacon and pancakes. Eggs only scrambled with seasoning.... cool to know I can eat pancakes with someone." Kind of, oh. A boyfriend. "Well I shouldn't say boyfriend. I don't think." Is this why he's so upset. "Ah, well nice to eat breakfast with someone. I don't usually."

The waitress comes with our drinks and the small condiments like butter and jam. "Food will come soon for my favorite couple." She did a little giggle before making an applaud.

My face flushed in patches of red and Shawn nearly choked on his orange juice. "So. Now that you know I'm well... I said I had a boyfriend. Do you mind I know your life? Family wise, maybe... relationship?"

"I don't really have one. I just drive around most days no one to run to, you know."

Our food came and the voices died down. I admired Shawn, how he dipped the sliced piece of pancake into the syrup and used his free hand to rip the bacon with his fingers. There would be remainders of powder in the crease of his lip. "You do cocaine or something dude?" I teased. Slowly, I licked his thumb and skimmed it over Shawn's lip, elevating the left overs. "Ew cooties!" Shawn fought in a joking manor.

I think we're having a moment.

"Anyways. I'll pay." Shawn offered. "Oh I mean we could split it?" I suggested. "Shut up. You're a taxi driver allow me." Was that suppose to kind of hurt? Because it did.

He told me to just pay the tip and we headed out, taking a refill on our drinks to go.

"Hey. Why do you have your own CDs in the car again?" Shawn asked me buckling his belt, yet attempting to look closer to the front.

I grinned, "As you told me yesterday night when we met for the first time, I don't want to tell a stranger my personal story."
