It was already 7 in the evening when Chanzu arrived home. Upon his arrival while still outside, he was met with unfortunate situation and to make all matters worse, it started raining very heavily.
From where he was standing, he could see his Mother Yoya crying while his father Goryo taps Yoya's back to comfort her. He can hear the landlord's yelling while all their things are being thrown outside their house.
" please give us consideration just this time " said Goryo to the landlord.
" I HAVE ALREADY GIVEN YOU CONSIDERATION COUNTLESS TIMES, SORRY MY DECISION IS FINAL!!!
It seems everything is already obvious to Chanzu, they were evicted for not being able to pay their monthly rent for the house.
"what should we do now?" Yoya asked
"don't worry dear, I will find a way for us. stop crying now" Goryo comforted her.
"where's Chanzu?" his father asked.
Chanzu ran away before he was noticed by his parents. His presence was caught by his mother but remained silent due to overwhelming situation.
After a while, the rain was still falling heavily outside. Old man Timothy stared outside the window of his bedroom as he take a sip of hot tea.
knock-knock-knock
Timothy heard the knocking on his door so he immediately went to check.
"who's there?" he asked
"it's me Chanzu!"
Timothy immediately opened the door and saw Chanzu outside, he was wet all over so he took one of his clean towels and gave it to Chanzu and welcomed him.
After a while...
"their office is probably closed at this time, so let's head there tomorrow morning"
"thank you so much Timothy, I appreciate all your help. This is my only chance, if I win the game, we will no longer be poor. I really want to take this chance to join the Eirans game"
"sure thing, what about your parents? do they have a place to stay right now? why don't you invite them here in the mean time, I have a vacant house just next to this house where they could temporarily stay, I think it's good enough for two to three people"

"that boy, he really is a good boy and he helps us with everything" said Goryo while scratching his head.
"haha you're so lucky to have a child like him. Anyway, let's call it a day and have a brand new start tomorrow"
the next day...
"mother, father, please allow me to join, this is a once in a lifetime chance and I will regret not taking the chance. I promise I will be ok!"
"NO!!! you are not allowed!!!" said Yoya with a skeptical tone.
"but mother"
"I said NO!!!!" she affirmed
"darling, why won't you let him? it's just a game you know. and it has a very big reward" said Goryo.
"who's gonna help me with my tasks in the eatery then? and how sure are you that his gonna win the prize?"
"darling it's a game you know, so it's not guaranteed he's gonna bring home the bacon."
" I SAID NO!!!! PERIOD! " Yoya said with conviction.
"alright already. I know this is going to be your reaction anyway" (sigh) said Chanzu with a disappointed tone.
Timothy can hear Chanzu's conversation with his parents from his bedroom. So without hesitation, he went outside to check them.
"Sorry I didn't mean to hear your conversation, but... why wouldn't you let him experience the game just this once, if gets disqualified then he can come back and help you again. The free access ticket is actually my reward to Chanzu for saving my life. I don't want that thing to go to waste as well. So... may I suggest I pay someone to help you with your tasks while Chanzu is not around." Timothy suggested.
"Oh no, that's too much, you don't need to do that, alright already, I will let Chanzu join but I have a bad feeling about this actually that's the main reason I am hesitant."
"Mother, I'll be alright, don't you worry ok?"
"Alright boy, but promise you'll take care of yourself ok? don't you ever be so reckless there like you always are! you know your parents will be waiting for you to come back home safe and sound." said Yoya with a concerned tone this time.
"alright mother, I promise"
"alright then"
Chanzu gave his mother and father a hug and thank Timothy again for settling the matters.
after couple of hours...
As Timothy and Chanzu just arrived to the registration venue for the Eirans Gen 2 game. Upon getting out of the car.
"are you ready now?" Timothy asked Chanzu
"I haven't been excited like this before. To experience being a player of a game I really love... in a virtual world, catch, train and battle Eirans. WOW. This is a dream come true. thank you so much Timothy, I wouldn't be able to experience this without your help."
"No problem, I am rooting for you, and that goes the same with your parents, so be safe there ok?"
with a determined voice, Chanzu responded:
"I surely will"
