lucy was finally given her day off she had so long hoped for, she didn't seem to know how she wished to spend it other then laying in bed all day and recovering from that inextingusable migraine

earlier that day she had booked a room beside kamala's at the hotel they had to stay at for two weeks yet kamala hadn't told her the reason, maybe it was for the family gathering they had attended earlier but she certainly wouldn't need two entire weeks for one night at her parents for dinner

setting the thought aside, lucy made her way to the bathroom and finished up her morning routine and after, spending almost the entire day on her bed until 5pm, she decided to call up a few friends and hit up a bar in the town since she had never been there, her friends were all other bodyguards but for different people, even some with higher standards, they could all afford a private jet in a heartbeat and wouldn't hesitate at a chance to return lucy's call considering they've spent many years together despite being miles and miles away

few of them were on duty and couldn't leave at that moment but the others were already on there way from the moment they hung up the phone

she decided to get ready and wait for them at the hotel then make one trip to the bar after they've all gotten familiar with eachother

she shuffled through her closet looking for something decent to wear, and after almost an hour of being picky, she decided to wear a black pantsuit

she did some finishing touches on her outfit and went back to waiting, it was no doubts it would take about an hour or two for the others to arrive

and it did, two hours later, four other women arrived at the hotel, they came in some earlier then others but took a moment to sit in the lobby and introduced themselves

after 8pm, they all left to the nightclub, upon arrival they were given a private booth as per usual since none of then seemed to like crowded public spaces

as lucy sat down amongst her friends, she decided even though she didn't want to work or have anything to do with work that day, she just wanted to check up on kamala and ensure that the other bodyguard had arrived

she excused herself from the booth and made her way back outside and reached for her phone, making a call to kamala back at the hotel

"hello?" kamala responded drowsily almost as if she had been asleep

"sorry to disturb you Mrs.Harris, I just wanted to check up on you and to make sure the other bodyguard arrived already?"

"Yes, Espinoza, he did arrive and yes, you should be sorry to disturb me because I'm starting to consider giving you less day offs"

lucy chuckles and plays off her annoyance "yes I am, truly"

"better be, where are you?"

"at a nightclub not to far away from the hotel, got a few friends here"

"so you choose to spend your one and possibly only day off to get drunk?"

"yes, precisely"

kamala sighs but there was no annoyance in her tone "goodnight, Espinoza"

"night, Mrs.Harris"

the call ended, being satisfied with how the call went, lucy went back into the bar and took a seat beside a few of her friends, they ordered drinks and chatted away, two of the women had a hookah, since it was their first and only chance of getting to use one before they got straight back to their job, it didn't seem to bother any of the other women in the group considering they all had private life addictions of their own that were never mentioned around eachother but for sure they were all aware of it but choose not to speak on it
