i walked slowly towards Oberon, i could hear him muttering to himself.

"shes not dead, shes not dead." over and over again as he sobbed.

i sat down in from of him, placing my hand on his shoulder. "she's not dead Oberon."

Oberon looked up at me, with his tear-stained face. "are you dead?"

"i am not." i answered. "Astraea is not dead, i think she is showing up to us because she is on the edge of death."

"you saw her too?" he muttered.

"i did," i nodded. "when i was stuck in the hole you left me in, she came to me, mocking me."

"i attended to get you out after a few minutes." he sat up, no longer hunched over, i knew he could not lie to me. "but then she started to talk to me, and i lost track of everything."

"your lucky my brother had one of his trails here." i pointed to the idiots behind me, "he found those two dumbasses and helped me out."

"theyre safe," i glanced at them then wiped his tears on his sleeve. "thats good."

"is she gone?" i asked him.

"she is." he nodded. "she disappeared when you spoke to me. thank you for getting me out of that."

"i didnt think you could cry like that." i laughed then went serious, standing to my feat and offering him a hand up. "dont worry about it, we are in this together right?"

"right." he smiled, taking my hand and standing to his feet. "i am sorry i left you in that pit, that was wrong of me."

"im sorry for saying i didnt need your help." i smiled back. "i see now that i really cannot do this alone."

he nodded. "i cannot do it myself either. i can see that now as well."

"we probably could have gone without those two those." i pointed at the two who were now looking at flowers. "my brother caught them looking at flowers in the woods."

"i can agree that we should have left them behind." he laughed.

"Oberon, look." i started. "i  am really sorry for picking a fight with you back at the palace, and for being hard on you out here. Lunar, the idiot he is, was right, my family does forgive people who make mistakes. they even forgave an uncle who tired to take over the kingdom and kill mother."

"they do seem to have that effect on people." he laughed. "call me Robin, its what my friends call me."

"your not that bad, Robin.... brother in law." i turned to walk towards the path.

"thank you." i heard him say behind me. "that means more to me than you know."

"is he okay?" Lunar asked as i walked over.

"yeah," i glanced back at Robin, who was walking to us. "i think he is going to be just fine. now come on you two. stay with us this time."

"as you wish." Lunar bowed his head.

"sorry about that." Carlisle looked a bit weirder then normal.

i looked back at Robin. "something is wrong with these two."

"other than being complete idiots?" he asked as he walked to my side.

Lunar started to play with Carlisle's hair.

"well they dont normally go off on their own or act like... like this." i motioned to them.

Robin looked around us. "the flowers," he said calmly. "they wont effect me because i was born a fairy, but made fairies like them, the pollen makes them a bit foolish. we call it fairies bane."

"so mostly harmless?" i asked.

"yes." he nodded. "once we leave the forest, they will be back to normal."

"then lets get out of here." i grabbed Carlisle's arm and he grabbed Lunars. "this place gives me the creeps, if we ever have to come this way again, lets just go around."

we walked our way to the path and followed it out of the forest. luckily no other fake spirits appeared to us.

when we reached the end of the forest, the sun begun to set. Carlisle and Lunar could walk without being guided again.

"lets set up camp." Robin said as he set down his bags. "the effects of those flowers should be gone by morning." he looked at the two dumbasses. "you two plant your asses here and stay there." they did as told.

i nodded and started gathering up some wood. i built a fireplace and Oberon lit it. we sat around the fire, eating some rolls filled with cured meats.

"so i know Carlisle's story, and my fathers." i said to Robin as he ate. "but how did Lunar become a human turned fairy?

Robin started to laugh. "he is not a human made fairy."

"but you said he was a made fairy." i stated.

"i did." he nodded, still laughing. "he was born as a large green caterpillar that i found as a child."

"A caterpillar?" i raised an eyebrow.

"yes." he smiled. "my sister and i raised him into a Luna Moth, he could fit and cover my entire hand, he was beautiful, we called him Lunar. but soon he was starting to slow down with eating. my mother had told me that all things must die one day, and it was his turn."

"so that night i sneaked out of bed and held him, hoping to be with him for his last moments." he continued. "i cried my eyes out that night, wishing i could turn him into a fairy like my mother could with humans. my hands started to glow, and he turned into a child about my age, with the same wings he had always had, and that green hair."

"from there i started to make fairies out of all kinds of bugs." he laughed. "that's how the dark fairies started. i am not one myself, but i can make them. Lunar was the first dark fairy, which is why i chose him to trade for your sister. he is my closest friend and ally."

i glanced back at Lunar, who was now happily chatting with Carlisle like normal. looking back at Robin i said, "i never thought of you as someone who grew from a child, i never even thought of Celeste that way. i just thought you appeared one day to be opposites."

"we were far from opposite." he took the last bite of his roll. "like her, i care deeply for the fairies i create. i rule them with kindness and love. but because they are bugs, most dont see them as fairies created with love, they see them as monster. so then they see me as a monster for making them. my sister and i were no different, she made fairies from humans and flowers, i made them from bugs and sometimes birds."

"i have to admit that i saw you as monster as well." i admitted. "but only because you tried to kill people i care for. why do the sacrifice every year?"

"why." he looked into the fire. "it is only something that started about fourteen years ago, when my sister was killed in your mothers war. my fairies saw my sadness and wanted to help me take revenge, so we did, by attacking your father and killing his fairies. the sacrifice was needed to open the door to the fairy realm as it was created by my sister."

"father never made a single fairy, until Carlisle." i told him.

"i did not know that at the time." he looked sad. "if i had known they were my sisters precious fairies.... i would never have attacked. i am deeply sorry for my actions and do wish to do better, not just for myself but for your sister."

"i know." i nodded, "i know you cannot lie, i know you truly love her."

"i know i already said it." he looked at me. "but thank you again for helping me back in the forest. i owe you one."

"did you just make a fairy deal?" i raised an eyebrow. "you know you have to be careful with your words."

"i said, what i said on purpose." he smiled. "if the situation ever calls for it, i will save you in return."
