I could feel the soft breeze hitting my face in a gentle way, my head slightly peeking out of the car window as my parents drove off to my hometown.
I remember vividly my childhood, my past encrypted into the depths of my mind. Those memories started flowing back like rapid waves when I began recalling the looks of the town from afar.
I had missed this sensation so dearly, my heart pounding inside my chest at such a quick pace, the barely noticeable blush creeping onto my cheeks as my memories replayed once more in my head.
'I wonder what Kageyama is up to. I haven't seen him in years.' I thought to myself, contemplating the sun setting down at the horizon, letting place to a beautiful sunset.
I grabbed my phone inside my pocket. I was lost in my own thoughts. A sigh had escaped my lips as I shut down my eyes. After all, I was exhausted from such a long trip.
When I opened my eyelids, I was already back home. I had no clue how many hours passed by but I haven't given it much thoughts. I stood up slowly and reached the living room, where I found both of my parents chatting.
When I met my mom's gaze, she flashed the brightest smile I've ever seen. I think I never had seen her look this radiant before. I have to admit, it got a reaction out of me. I returned the gesture back onto her.
"Hi sweetie! You fell asleep in the car yesterday, so we decided not to wake you and carried you to your new room." She clasped her hands together. She's so energetic it's almost as if flowers levitated around her figure.
I chuckled, then shifted my attention to my dad. He was radiating the same amount of joy as my mom, and waved towards me. "Is there a special reason as to why you both emerge such positive vibes? Something happened?" I questioned, genuinely wondering about their bright mood.
"We went for a walk this morning, and we met Kageyama's parents! They really still are such lovely friends. Haven't changed one bit. But Kageyama wasn't with them though." My dad responded, his expression seemed to make it look like he was thinking, which indeed was the case.
"Do you think he still likes volleyball?" He finally spoke. He's right, Kageyama, my one and only childhood friend was a maniac for volleyball. You could basically say he was born with a volleyball ball in his hands. Since young, his movements were swifts, smooth, quick. Nobody could match his speed, which made him snap at his teammates most of the times. That was until Shoyo moved in town a year later.
