Azlin lay comfortably atop Marvelous, her head resting gently on his broad chest. The steady rhythm of his heartbeat was soothing, and she felt a sense of peace wash over her as his warm, strong hands traced delicate patterns along her back. The room was quiet except for their soft breaths, creating an intimate and serene atmosphere that both had been craving amidst their hectic schedules.

She closed her eyes, savoring the closeness and the comfort of being in her man's arms. This little getaway was exactly what she needed to recharge and reconnect. However, as she began to drift into a relaxed state, an unexpected thought pierced through her tranquility—Jonah.

The image of Jonah flashed in her mind, bringing with it a swirl of conflicting emotions. Her body involuntarily tensed, muscles tightening as the peacefulness of the moment was momentarily disrupted. Sensing the sudden change, Marvelous's hands stilled, and he tilted his head slightly to look down at her with concern.

"Hey, everything okay?" he asked softly, his voice filled with genuine care and curiosity.

Azlin hesitated for a moment, debating whether to share what was on her mind. She didn't want to spoil the precious time they had together or bring unnecessary tension into their evening. Forcing a small smile, she looked up into his concerned eyes and replied, "Yeah, I'm fine. Just a random thought, nothing to worry about."

Marvelous studied her face for a few seconds, his eyes searching for any signs that something was amiss. He knew Azlin well enough to sense when something was bothering her, but he also respected her space and trusted that she would open up when she was ready.

"Alright," he said gently, pressing a soft kiss to her forehead. "Just know that I'm here if you want to talk about anything."

Azlin's smile became more genuine at his words, appreciation filling her heart. "Thank you," she whispered, snuggling closer into his embrace and trying to push thoughts of Jonah out of her mind.

They lay there in comfortable silence for a while longer, the warmth of each other's presence slowly easing the tension from Azlin's body. Marvelous resumed his gentle caresses, his touch bringing her back to the present and reminding her of the love and support surrounding her.

After some time, Marvelous broke the silence with a playful tone, "So, what do you want to do tomorrow? I was thinking we could check out that new art exhibit downtown or maybe try that brunch spot you've been talking about."

Azlin's eyes lit up at the suggestion, grateful for the distraction. "Ooh, brunch sounds amazing! I've heard they have the best waffles in town."

Marvelous chuckled, his chest vibrating beneath her. "Then it's settled. Brunch tomorrow, followed by whatever else we feel like doing. This weekend is all about relaxing and enjoying ourselves."

"Sounds perfect," Azlin agreed, feeling her spirits lift as they began planning the rest of their weekend together.

As the night wore on, they continued to talk and laugh, sharing stories and dreams until sleep eventually claimed them both. Despite the brief intrusion of unsettling thoughts, Azlin found comfort in the arms of the man she loved, hopeful that the weekend would bring them even closer and provide the respite they both needed.

But deep down, she knew she couldn't ignore the thoughts of Jonah forever. Sooner or later, she would have to confront what was stirring inside her and decide what it meant for her and Marvelous. For now, though, she allowed herself to be present in the moment, cherishing the love and happiness she felt beside him.

The next morning, the sunlight streamed through the window, casting a warm glow across the room. Azlin quietly slipped out of bed, careful not to wake Marvelous, who was still peacefully asleep. She made her way to the bathroom, ready to prepare for their brunch date.
