I sat on my backpack as the doctor in A Ning's team bandaged my hand for me—the wound was serious enough to require three stitches. I received it when the corpse fetus dragged me down from the stone walkway above. I wouldn't say that I had been pampered and spoiled ever since I was a child, but I had never done any kind of heavy work before, which was why I got hurt so easily. If Pan Zi had been the one the corpse fetus grabbed, I was almost certain that nothing would have happened to him.

The doctor sterilized my wound and told me not to do anything with my hand or let it get wet. After I nodded and thanked him, he went to check on the others.

When I first fell from the stone walkway, A Ning and the others were extremely surprised by my "sudden appearance". In fact, A Ning didn't even recognize me at first (at that time, my hair was so disheveled and my face so dirty that it was a wonder she was able to recognize me in the end). It wasn't until after Fatty called out to them from above that she finally seemed to realize who we were, but she was so shocked that she didn't say anything and just gave me an incredulous look.

The two groups stood frozen for a long time before they gradually started to come back to their senses. I took a step forward, anxious to see if I could find the person who was carrying my Uncle Three, but when I moved, everyone around me suddenly took a few steps back, as if they had seen a ghost. Several of them even raised their guns again.

Fatty and Pan Zi, who had just breathed a sigh of relief, both raised their guns again when they saw this. I quickly raised my hands to show that I wasn't hostile. A Ning hurriedly waved her hand and said to her team, "I know them. We've cooperated before. Everyone put your guns down." She repeated this several times until her men finally lowered their guns, their faces full of doubt. Several foreigners in the team still remained very tense, their gazes fixed on me warily.

I saw that the veins on their faces were bulging, making it obvious that they were feeling very stressed at this time. If they received any more surprises, I knew that they'd probably snap, so I didn't dare move again. In the end, I just stood there, not knowing what to do.

A Ning frowned—it was clear from her expression that she didn't know that we were here—and then looked at me and asked, "You... why are you guys here...?"

Fatty smiled down at her, "This is called 'Madam White Snake Searching for a Partner'. Those who are destined for each other will meet even if they're a thousand li away, and those who aren't will feel dissatisfied even after stripping naked and embracing each other. Would you believe me if I said that we were merely passing by?"

As he spoke, both he and Pan Zi jumped down from the walkway. At this time, several people in A Ning's team seemed to recognize Fatty and cried out in surprise. Obviously, Fatty's appearance here seemed to dredge up some bad memories.

Maybe it was because he had worked with these people before, but as Fatty walked over to me, the atmosphere seemed to ease a little bit. Even those who had remained tense finally relaxed and put the safety on their guns while cursing to themselves. One person even muttered, "Great. Not only is this place horrible, but now we've run into a walking disaster."

I remembered the first time I met Fatty, and couldn't help but laugh—this description was too accurate.

Fatty glared at the man and called out greetings to several people who seemed more familiar with him. A Ning wanted to keep asking questions, but Pan Zi and I couldn't bear it anymore and ran to the foreigner who was carrying that familiar-looking person on his back—we wanted to see if he was really carrying my Uncle Three.

The foreigners seemed to be very wary of me and kept backing up every time I took a step towards them, but the foreigner who was carrying that person on his back didn't seem afraid at all—seeing that my target was the person on his back, he immediately lowered them to the ground. I went up and hurriedly removed the mountaineering hat covering the person's head.
