"Hi Sunshine."
That voice... So dark, yet so familiar resonated in the shadows behind him, prompting Felix to strain his neck up and over his shoulder in an attempt to discern the figure lurking in the dimly lit room.
"I-Innie?" He whispered, afraid that if he got that wrong there would be so kind of repercussions.
"It's me, baby," he reassured, and in the next second he was stepping into the shadows. Felix's eyes skimmed over his moonlight features, squinting and unsquinting again and again as he tried to look at the male in front of him.
How could someone look like his Innie, but also not look like his Innie? This male seemed darker, a dangerous aura swirling around him that made Felix's breath hitch in his throat.
Nonetheless, it was definitely Jeongin. That much was clear.
"I'm... I'm scared," Felix whimpered, pulling at the chains binding his wrist together. "C-Can you take these off, Innie?" His trembling voice was barely above a whisper as he strained against the chains binding him to the bed in the dark basement. His skin was raw and reddened from the restraints, and fear flickered in his eyes.
"I can't," Jeongin murmured, his own voice tinged with darkness that sent a shiver down Felix's spine. He had never heard their maknae sounding so sinister, so predatory. He was refusing to turn around, keeping his gaze fixed on the shadows dancing on the damp wall like a coward. "I'm sorry, Lixie. They won't let me..."
"Please... They don't need to know..." Felix tried to bargain, his voice desperate as he tried to reason with Jeongin. "I-I won't run..." he begged, his voice cracking and giving away his fear. The air was heavy with tension and unspoken threats. "Please, Innie..."
"What part of I fucking can't do you not understand?" Jeongin growled, spinning around and stopping towards Felix with hasty steps. He leaned down and captured the blonde's jaw, forcing them to meet eyes. "You'd fucking run. You'd fucking run and leave me behind, leave us behind."
"N-No.." Felix tried to shake his head, eyes wide as he tried to ignore the vice like grip Jeongin had on him. "I.. I wouldn't, Innie.. Please.."
From the crazy stare in the younger's eyes, he knew he wasn't going to be able to appeal to Jeongin's moral side. He was stuck for the night, that much was clear, at the hands of their maknae.
Maybe if Jisung was able to visit him, he'd be able to appeal to his good side. But they were being smart, not letting the sunshine twins too close together. Felix tried to think if Jisung was even there, he didn't remember him in the house.
"Go to sleep, baby," Jeongin mumbled, his breath warm against the curve of Felix's neck as he inhaled his scent gently.
Felix had to suppress the urge to try and squirm away. Not only was he paralyzed by the fear of consequences if he dared to disobey him, but there was no where for him to shift to. He had already over stretched the restraints around his wrist, so much so he was losing feeling in his left hand.
Instead, he tried to steady his own breathing, fighting back the tears that threatened to fall. With a sinking heart, he realized Jeongin wouldn't be his savior in that dark moment.
He liked Felix being restrained, he wanted Felix to be stuck with them.
