APHRODITE WAS PRACTICALLY bouncing with every step, her light-hearted energy palpable. She was dressed in her usual pastel colours—today, a soft pink jacket, which matched her tank top and jeans with flowers on the side. She held a reusable coffee cup in one hand, but it was filled with tea, as she occasionally took small sips whilst she chatted with Henry.
The morning sun bathed Storybrooke in a soft golden light, casting long shadows over the quiet streets as Aphrodite and Henry strolled side by side. The crisp autumn air had a hint of warmth, making the walk comfortable, even refreshing.
Emma wasn't able to take Henry to school that morning after they had all met at Granny's, something came up at the station so Aphrodite was currently walking him to school.
"I just love how the flowers are starting to bloom, don't you, Henry?" Aphrodite grinned, her eyes sparkling. "Everything's just so... alive!"
Henry smiled up at her. He adored Aphrodite. There was something about her that made everything seem brighter.
"Yeah, it's nice," He said, though his mind was on something else. He had his book of fairy tales in his backpack, and his thoughts were currently on the new story that someone had added into the book.
As they approached the school, they spotted Regina standing with Mary Margaret near the entrance. Regina's expression was tight, her arms were folded. Mary Margaret looked more comfortable as she gave the two a polite smile.
He tugged on Aphrodite's arm and whispered, "Here comes the Evil Queen."
Aphrodite rolled her eyes with a soft laugh. She knew Henry's theory about Regina being the Evil Queen from his book, but she always chalked it up to his overactive imagination. Still, there's a glimmer of truth that seems to hover around Henry's words, even if Aphrodite can't quite grasp it.
Mary Margret had pointed over to the two to Regina, before she walked inside of the school.
Aphrodite waved cheerfully, "Good morning!"
Regina gave a polite smile, "Ms Hart," Regina greeted, her voice cool but not unkind. "Henry."
"What are you doing here?" Henry looked up to his mom, confused.
The Mayor cleared her throat before she held out his lunchbox to him, "You forgot your lunchbox."
"Thanks." He said, taking it from her.
The Mayor had taken Henry to go sit down on the bench, talking to him without Aphrodite. But, the blonde knew that Henry would tell her all about what Regina said in their next session together, if the conversation didn't go well, and by the looks of it, it wasn't.
