He felt lifeless.
His head ached only slightly but no matter how much he squirmed, he found himself spinning in place. Why was that?
Eyes unveiling the darkness, the luminous shimmer of an unknown light only partially obtains his attention. Rocks were glowing around him, there was a star-like source of brightness that was steadily drawing him in too. Yet, neither left him as baffled as floating in the literal void of space!
Absently, he breathed out in sheer awe.
Unless his other self's gift he gave nullified the vacuum of the outermost atmosphere's absence of air, he would only guess that all Relons could just breathe in space. As weird as that sounded. He was a novice at what exactly his "selves" could do.
Bump.
Head shifting to whatever sturdy form hit him, his body's once loose form goes rigid. It was a body. Clearly lifeless. Its malnourished skin was a discernable trait as was the mild wounds. Injuries so little that it was as though they were barely injured physically.
The mere sight of seeing a corpse made a sudden surge of puke rise before he gulped it back down. Not before the stinging sensation emerged as had his near dinner from only a short while ago.
All he could do was watch solemnly as it continued away. As he was pulled by the odd force, that body, someone no longer of whatever world he now belonged in became more and more distant.
He scrunched his face.
The sight of something so sad at such an age, he couldn't help but fight the tears from returning. His body felt ill just looking, much less thinking about the life that soul was leaving behind.
"Rest in peace..."
He didn't know if there was a point in mumbling such a thing but even if gone, he wanted to at least bid the deceased a safe voyage to the afterlife.
Lingering on the body once more, he forces his form forward. In doing so, his eyes take in a figure floating towards him. Correction; he watched it vanish to materialize before him.
"Relon?" She spoke.
A young woman, slightly transparent, shimmered in a silver sheen as though she wasn't truly real. Her dress with lengthy clothes seemingly connected directly with her skin. Her hair, much like her color palette, somehow seemed to hold a cosmos full of stars behind every other strand ending at her back. Some sort of hair accessory held a red gem that matched her reddish eye shadow. Behind her head floated what seemed like some sort of miniature solar system.
In short, she was beautiful.
"Relon." What a tender voice, full of the warmth he's familiarized himself with whenever Grace and Zhu Yuan spoke.
"How do you... know who I am?"
A chuckle. A gentle one at that.
"Well, I am your wife." The recent sight of death nearly vanished upon beholding that smile filled with unimaginable warmth. "The other Relon's wife of course. It seems he's already passed on and so too will I. Come, we haven't much time remaining."
That face she made... Somehow, Relon felt as though he was looking at himself. It looked the same as how he faced the others before he vanished. What exactly was that face she made? Defeat? Acceptance? Possibly both.
