A/N: ready for the last one guys?

——————

The kiss was soft and tentative at first, as if we were both testing the waters, unsure of where this moment would lead. But then, something shifted. The connection we had felt through the music—the deep, unspoken bond that had developed between us—intensified, and the kiss deepened, becoming more confident, more certain.

For a few precious moments, the world around us seemed to disappear. There was no competition, no pressure, no expectations—just the two of us, sharing something that felt incredibly real and incredibly right.

When we finally pulled back, we were both breathing a little more heavily, our faces flushed. Elizabeth's eyes were wide, her expression a mix of surprise and something else—something warm and tender that made my heart swell.

"I... I didn't expect that," she admitted, a small, breathless laugh escaping her lips.

"Me neither," I replied, still trying to process what had just happened. But I didn't regret it—not for a second. In fact, it felt like everything had been leading to this moment.

Elizabeth looked down at our hands, still loosely entwined, and then back up at me. "I'm glad it happened, though."

"Me too," I said, echoing her earlier words. "I think... I think this might be the start of something really special."

She nodded, her smile growing. "I think so too."

We sat there in comfortable silence for a while, just enjoying each other's presence. The connection between us felt even stronger now, as if the music we had shared had opened up something new, something that went beyond just a professional partnership.

As the night grew darker and the auditorium quieted, we eventually got up and made our way outside, hand in hand. The stars were shining brightly overhead, and the cool night air felt refreshing against my skin.

"Do you think we'll win the competition?" Elizabeth asked, her voice light, but with a hint of genuine curiosity.

I smiled, feeling a sense of optimism that I hadn't felt before. "I don't know. But right now, I'm not sure it even matters. What we created together, that feeling of connection... I think that's worth more than any prize."

Elizabeth stopped walking, turning to face me, her eyes sparkling in the moonlight. "You're right," she said softly. "This... what we have now... it's worth everything."

And with that, she leaned in and kissed me again, this time with a sense of certainty that made my heart soar.

As we stood there, under the stars, I realized that this was just the beginning—both for us as musicians and as something more. And whatever the future held, I knew we would face it together, one note, one moment, one kiss at a time.
