MIDNIGHT CONVERSATION

(BACK TO RACHEL'S P.O.V)

Everyone was tired by the end of the night. Sarah and Jason opted leave early for home. Daniel kept stalking me everywhere in the party. Tammy looked quite upset about it. When she tried to call it a night, her drunk friends turned on the music again and started to giggle around Daniel. I don't know about Daniel but Tammy looked so annoyed that she went to her room and didn't come back until we left. I was so disgusted by Tammy's friend because they were all over my table. When Daniel noticed my disgusted expression, he chuckled. He even asked those girls to leave us alone else I would throw up on them pretty bad. Daniel was  making fun of me about last night and I was irritated with the fact that he wouldn't tell me shit about it. He said I throw up in a  gallons to which I rolled my eyes and tried to ignore him because I didn't have anything to say because I don't remember anything about last night. Daniel looked drunk tonight. He kept smoking his cigarette and kept winking at me.

Amy and Ethan were gone to the local chemist to buy some painkillers and everyone knows what else and told us to catch them at home. By this time it was just me and Daniel. After the Chris scene no one dared to hit on me and Daniel looked quite happy about it. I drove back to Amy's house in silence, when I pulled in I saw Ethan and Amy arguing over something. It looked pretty bad.

"I saw both of you laughing together, Amy, Don't try to tell me that you didn't look into his eyes when he was speaking to you!" He shouted over the top of voice.

"So what? Do I look interested in him? He's my past and you are my present, Ethan. It wasn't my mistake. How would I know he'd find us outside the chemist!" Amy turned back and went inside the house. 

Daniel and I looked at each and followed her inside the house with Ethan. 

"Don't you fucking ignore me baby!"

"Don't you fucking baby me!" Amy paused.

"I don't get it Ethan, it's been two years for now since we are together! and that much faith you have in me?" She looked upset now.

"FAITH? I fucking saw you looking in his eyes and smiling! Wouldn't I loose my trust over you?"

"You're right. Actually, here comes the truth you never trusted me." She said with tears and her eyes and ran to her room, when Ethan tried to follow her she slammed the door on his face.

"I didn't mean that Amy." He said with sadness.

"Please open the door." He turned and sat there, reaching for his cellphone.

"Man, what happened?" Daniel asked him while I stood beside him. Ethan refused his hand to stand up.

"Calm down, Ethan. She needs time. It's no one's fault." I said to him as he kept sending her sorry texts.

"I don't know. I saw him outside Tammy's house and......and, I lost it there and then I saw him outside the store. I wouldn't have been so mad but she even spoke to him and I just went crazy." Ethan spoke with sad eyes looking at both of us.

"Open the door baby please, let me in!" He shouted to Amy behind the door. Sarah came out of the room with Jason. When they understood what happened, they just went back with meaningful glances.

"Give her some time Ethan. I know it's hard for both of you but trust me, It's been 2 years. If Amber had any thoughts about him, you would have been somewhere else. Try to trust her about this." I said to Ethan and Daniel looked at me and Ethan quietly.

" Come on big guy, let's get you a beer or something." As I said Daniel offered him his hand and he took it. After sitting on the Kitchen counter for 30 minutes, Ethan started calling her. Amy picked up after 7 calls. Ethan apologized to her and asked her to open the door. He listened to Amy for a minute than asked her to open her door again. I was getting tired of this open the door thing. I snatched his phone and started to speak.

"Babe, you better open the door otherwise I am gonna give him the keys." 

She spoke back in disagreement and told me to do whatever I can because she has her room's key with her.

"Well,I meant my Bike keys, bitch not your room's key."

She said I won't do that.

"Oh? Okay. Hey, Ethan take my bike and go home brother. This girl ain't no getting my shit." I jingled Daniel's car key and in just next 5 seconds I heard the door unlock. Daniel and I laughed silently as Ethan hugged me thank you and ran towards her room. I could hear I love yous and sorries when I headed to my room with Daniel on my tail.

He had a smile on his face as he looked at me. 

"What?" 

"Nothing." He said and went to change his clothes. When he came back, he was shirtless and I couldn't help drooling at him. I tried to find my clothes.

Daniel was smiling again.

"What?" I said to him, annoyed.

"Nothing." He said and handed me my clothes.

"Thanks." I said without looking at him and went ahead to change my clothes.

Gosh, He was so handsome. It was like I was seeing an angel in Satan's body. No, Satan in an angel's body. Ugh, I don't know! Daniel was sizzling hot. His tats would follow him up to his shoulders and his chest looked like one of those models you see outside Hollywood. When I got out in my shorts, Daniel came and stood by me. His nose touching my cheeks. 

"Are you blushing?"

"What?" I looked at him with corner of my eyes because if I turned to him, his lips would be just an inch away from mine and I didn't want that.

"Nothing." Now he smiled again and this time his smile was different. It was evil and pride together on an innocent face. He turned around and didn't even look back at me.

Fucking bastard. 

"Now, don't be a bad girl Ray, come to daddy." This is how he asked me to come to bed.

Definitely drunk. I slipped in the covers and faced him. He reached out for me and took me into his arms. I held my breath. This boy should stop dazzling me.

"Breathe." Daniel said nuzzling my hair. After smelling my hair and holding me close to him, he looked at me.

"Hey, Ray?" He said with such sweet tone that I almost smiled.

"Yeah?" He felt so warm I was guilty for wanting to be close to him.

"Since I'm drunk and that's the only reason I have got for my inappropriate behavior, I'm going to hold you in my arms for the night." He got up and came above me then he looked down at me in the eye then his hand caressed my cheek, my jawline, his thumb kept touching my lower lip. He gave a quick kiss on my forehead and smiled at me weakly as he lie down.

"I will be sorry for this in the morning when you would be shouting at me but I wanna hold you tonight." He says as pulls me closer to him . As I see Daniel dozing off to sleep I held him back.

Daniel's face looked like he was trying really hard to fix something. It looked like a small child trying to fix back his toy but couldn't so he hide that broken toy somewhere so that it doesn't bother him anymore. Maybe I'll find it eventually and then I melted there in his arms and fell asleep in next few minutes.
