Trauma

Chapter 1

It was a dark night outside and Tara was getting dressed up in her pajamas. She laid down on her bed and grabbed her phone, as she turned it on she overheard her parents getting into an argument in the kitchen. She didnt really seem to be worried about it, since her parents usually get into some dumb argument. Tara grabbed her headphones and plugged them into her phone as she played some music to distract her from her parents.

Tom and Tara were just minding theyre business in theyre own room as usual, then suddenly Tara heard Aria's blood-curdling scream that echoed through the halls that caught her off guard, but surprisingly Tom slept through that. Tara then took off her headphones and put her phone and headphones down onto the bed. She stood up and walked to the door, quietly and slightly opening it to take a peek of what was happening.

As Tara opened the door, she saw Ross stabbing Aria in the throat repeatedly as blood dripped down from her throat to her legs. Aria gasped for air and tried pushing Ross off, but his grip on her was just too strong and her strength was getting weaker and weaker every second. Aria whined weakly as tears rolled down her cheeks. Tara watched in horror, just stunned and having no idea what to do out of fear.

"D- dad! P- Please stop!"

Ross looked over at Tara and gave her a death stare as he spoke in a stern tone.

"Go in your room, Tara. I don't want you getting involved in this."

"Da-"

"Now."

Tara closed the door as her breathing started to get heavier. She broke down in tears as she rushed to grab her phone and started dialing the police. Her voice got all shaky and she started to sob as she tried quickly explaining everything that happend.

She cried and sobbed as she waited for the police to arrive, overthinking about it and getting worried if its her fault that she didnt do anything.

Finally, the police arrived and knocked on the door as Ross started to panic, washing his hands and cleaninh the knife. He then hid Arias, now dead body under the table, hoping it wouldnt be noticeable.He let the officers in and as they questioned him one of the cops noticed the blood leaking onto the floor. Eventually the officer arrested him and sent him to jail. While the other officer went into Tara's room to question her, the officer woke up Tom and explained everything then questioned him too. The officer asked both of them if they wanted the police officer to drive them to an adoption center. Tara refused and said they were gonna go to theyre grandmas house and stay there. The officer left and Tom was just stunned and speechless. They both packed up they're things and walked to theyre grandmas house.
