"What it means to survive changes depending on the context," you start with a pensive look on your face. "In my time staying here I've begun to realize what it means to survive here in Minecraftia."
Isaiah and Connor find themselves perplexed. They subtly look at each other to see if the other was out of their depths. It quickly turns into a staredown as they both do their best to cover up their confusion.
"Could you please explain? It seems that some of us don't understand." Isaiah speaks up, raising his hand.
Connor quipped, "yeah, by some of us you mean yourself. I totally understand what (Name) is saying."
You sigh. Instead of running the bakery today, you're back onto your usual duties. However, you've also been 'encouraged' to take Connor under your wing as well. It looks like you're turning more into a teacher instead of the regular tutor.
"Sorry, for going all philosophical all of the sudden-"
"Philo-what now?"
You ignore Connor's interruption and decided to keep going. "This wasn't the plan for today, but I thought it would be important to go over the 'why' instead of the 'how' or 'what.'"
"Ohhhhh, I got it."
"There you go, Connor." The said creeper hybrid lit up at your compliment to which Isaiah glowered at.
"Anyways, as I was saying, I noticed that there are differences to the methods of surviving here in Minecraftia compared to the wilderness. So far, I've really only been teaching how to survive in the wilderness because that's all I've known. Most of my time was spent out there..." You look out the window towards the horizon beyond.
Isaiah furrowed his eyebrows at the yearning in your eyes. He started to wonder about how you lived before settling here. He himself has never been outside of Minecraftia. From what he's been told, the wilderness was brutal and that it was out to get you. He was told that was why Minecraftia was made. It was to ensure the safety of humans. He was made to ensure everyone's safety. So why did you desire the opposite?
Beside him, Connor was thinking practically the same thing, but in a different light. There was a fantasy that's been brewing in his mind ever since you helped him escape. It's what has been keeping him going. It allows him to put up with Lillian and his demanding father. He wondered what kind of adventures you went on. What trials and challenges did you go through before Minecraftia? What did you do to overcome them and survive? However, the most burning question of all is: would you be willing to go through it all again, but with him instead?
Your voice brings them back to reality. "Of course, some things stayed the same. You know, the necessities. Can anyone tell me what they are?"
Connor stood up raising his hand proudly. "Food! Water! Shelter!"
He remembered back when you forced him to escape and how you went on and on about how to survive. Connor gazed upon you with sparkling, expectant eyes. This made you falter. "Uh, yes. You're correct-"
"Yes!" Connor cheered and started to gloat to Isaiah. The creeper hybrid started to dance around Isaiah, teasing, "I'm smart and you're not!"
"What are you, twelve?" Isaiah retorted, which surprised you by a long shot. "So, childish..."
You put a hand over your mouth to cover your astonishment. Oh my, did he just use sarcasm? I've never been so proud!
"Who are you calling childish?!"
Connor and Isaiah begin to bicker which started to get physical. In a few seconds, they were tugging at each other shirts and pulling at each other's hair. You had to intervene before one of them seriously hurt one another, or even worse: your house blowing up.
You yelled, "Boys! BOYS! Settle down!"
You don't know how but that somehow made it worse. They kept going at each other like wild dogs. This was bad. You had to stop this before it could escalate into a real fight. Even the stoic Isaiah lost his composure.
You ran out of the living room and went up the stairs. You sped into your room, beelining to the closet. You reached into one of the chests and pulled something out. You smiled, satisfied by the glow.
"Hopefully, this will get them to listen..."
THWACK! WACK!
"Owww!" Connor yelled out dramatically. Both him and Isaiah were knocked off their chairs. "What was that for?!"
The iron golem hybrid looked like a fish out of water. He was so taken aback, not even moving from his prone state. They both shared wide-eyed looks to each other and then to you. Their eyes slowly travel down to your hand, where the culprit was. It was an enchanted stick.
It was [The Talking Stick], to be exact. It had Knockback II and Unbreaking III. Then, for funsies, you decided to add Punch II to see if it would work... and apparently it did. Iron Golems are resistant to knock back and Isaiah was an iron golem, so... maybe it's because he's in his human form and that was why he was affected?
Connor pointed a shaky finger at the stick. "W-W-What the Nether is that thing?!"
Isaiah was silent, but you could tell he was thinking the same thing.
"It's [The Talking Stick] and since I have it, you two should be listening to me. Understand?" You say with a forced smile.
Silence.
"Do you understand?"
A very audible gulp is heard from the two of them. "Yes, (Name)."

Back on a measly beach where a quaint house by the water stood, was a young man who took shelter underneath the house's overhang. He was sitting in the sand, watching the waves wash onto the beach. The relaxing sight was the only thing helping him fight off hunger.
He doesn't know how long it's been, but he knows it's been long enough since there hasn't been any sight of you or any others like you. Suddenly, this nice afternoon relaxing on the beach becomes tainted with an emotion that he cannot identify. Maybe it was because he was starving and severely dehydrated, but his chest hurt. The feeling washed over him like those waves when he thought about it more.
Were you gone for forever?
He's seen it happen before. People fight for their lives to only just suddenly fall asleep after being struck. He's also witnessed people falling asleep but never waking up ever again. Surely, that wouldn't ever happen to you, would it?
He's seen what you can do. Out of all the people he's been summoned to, you were one of the most determined to survive. But lately, he hasn't been called to you, except for that one time semi-recently. His stomach growls and he can his eyes flutter in fatigue.
Like with most obstacles he's faced with externally or internally, his usual solution is to sleep it off. However, he has a feeling that things won't be so easy this time. Sleeping the day away won't make things better than they were before. And so, fighting against the unimaginable fatigue, he gets up and heads inside.
He isn't going to wait til he's summoned. He'll find you himself because you're the ticket to his survival.
