Me and Matt stay at the park for about an hour before he turns to me and sighs. "We better get you home, Alice. It's almost 12," he tells me with a laugh to follow. "We've been out for hours at this point."

....We got here at 11.

"Oh shit you're right," I respond, reciprocating the laugh even if it feels fake. "I got a test tomorrow and stuff so I have to study," I say with a grin.

He returns the smirk, then nods. "Hope the studying goes well. So see you tomorrow?" he asks me.

I pause for a moment. "You're not going to walk me home...?" I ask him, although knowing that I probably sound needy at this point. God fucking dammit.

"The fuck you mean 'walk you home'?" He questions me with an annoyed tone of voice. "You're a big girl. You can walk yourself home, you don't need a guy to walk you home. The hell," he scoffs, rolling his eyes.

"But you always walk me home," I tell him quietly, not making eye contact with him. "What's different about today, Matt?" I ask him, my voice staying quiet.

"Nothing. Other than you expecting shit out of me like the needy asshole you are," he grits through his teeth, standing up and putting his hands into his pocket. "See you tomorrow. Hope you fix your fucking ass so I don't have to deal with your shit," he says, then starts to walk away.

"Matt!" I yell, putting my hand on the bench. He digs out his airpods, putting them in. "MATT!!" I shout, attempting to call his attention. He picks up his pace and walks off.

I watch him until I have to look away, too pissed to bring attention to him. I clench my teeth "Fucking bitch."
