Cas is sitting in the car as Dean drives, trying to get himself pulled together from the shock of today's events. Dread fills his stomach, making him want to puke at just the idea of how he so easily again sold himself to Dean. Except this time, he sold everything, all at once. It had to be better than the brothel, though, right?

Then what Dean had just said to him...fuck if that wasn't a kick in the stomach. He really is nothing. No one important in the world. He would have been better off if he had been successful on that ledge.

"Hey. How were you able to pay off a thousand on your debt already?" Dean asks so casually from beside him.

Cas is embarrassed to say he gives a hiccup from his crying, sniffling back some more tears as he tries to take a deep breath. "Got a second job. At a store." he answers, wiping at his face.

Dean shakes his head, "Two jobs? What about the kid? You were meant to only work at the restaurant. Didn't think I had to specify. Is that why you look like shit?"

Cas doesn't say anything, just stares out the window as he keeps wiping at his face, fanning at his burning cheeks from crying. Dean doesn't press him for any more information or to even answer his questions he left unanswered. He's wondering when his new job with Dean will start when he recognizes his neighborhood around them. They pull into the alley, "Go wash up, you stink like other alpha's." Dean tells him as he gets out of the car.

Cas gets out of the car, too, going for the stairs walking up them, feeling a little weak from the days events. He smells smoke in the air and thinks that's odd. When he gets to the second landing, he can tell, it's coming from his floor. "Gabe!" Cas yells as he starts running up the rest of the stairs. He can hear Dean quickly running after him too behind him. When Cas is on their landing his heart is sunk to his stomach as yeah, there is smoke pouring from the open door to his place. "GABE!!" Cas yells out desperately as he goes to head into his door, but he is knocked to the side by a large body exiting the place.

Dean takes in a big burly alpha, holding the omega's kid brother who is crying. But he just darts into the apartment, seeing a microwave with flames inside and licking up the wall behind it. He grabs up the little fire extinguisher by the sink and quickly gets the flames out, coughing as the smoke thickens and the fire extinguisher fumes fills up the small space. He makes his way back outside to let Castiel know the fire is out, sirens off in the distance, getting closer.

Cas is coaxing Gabe into his arms, new fresh tears rolling down his face as he takes in his brother. He's checking him all over, asking Gabe if he can breathe and if he's okay. Gabe is just crying and nodding, holding his hands close to his chest. "Lemme see your hands, baby. Are they hurt?" Cas asks through his tears, trying to calm himself from the panic he had just felt at the thought that Gabe was trapped in a fire, burning alive.

Gabe shakes his head but then finally holds out, shaking hands to Cas, "They...they only hurt a little." He sniffles in a broken voice.

Cas looks to his hands. They are red, a small blister forming on each thumb, but its not bad, the burns. "Okay, okay. We will go to the hospital, and they'll get you patched up good as new buddy, okay?" Cas looks up to Benny, who still had a large hand placed on Gabe's back. "Thank you, Benny. Fuck, thank you! If you weren't here..." Cas trails off shaking his head as new tears flood down his face. "Do you have a car? Can you take us to the hospital? Please, I'm so sorry to even ask."

Benny goes to open his mouth to respond when Dean elects to speak up, "You know I have my car. C'mon, I'll get you there quick." He says looking over the unknown alpha standing too close to Cas. But Cas just turns to look at him, giving a quick nod as he darts for the stairs to go back to Dean's car.
