Dean just looks over Cas, flustered as he is now. Well, it seems like the heat is over. And Cas was back to being himself, barely able to tolerate Dean, probably. "Is it over? Already? Thought you might go for a week or something." Dean asked, deciding to throw up his usal cocky attitude.
"How long?" Cas asks, still only peering up at Dean from the floor beside the bed. It was not like it was a long fall, considering it was just a mattress perched up on a box spring.
"The day you went into the heat, then three more days." Dean says with a shrug.
Cas nods, that was shorter than they usually were for him. He guesses it has something to do with not suppressing it, something with spending it with an alpha. "And you... you used..." Cas tries to ask, but he's too embarrassed to.
"A condom every time? Yes. Went through a few boxes, actually."
Cas looks around the room, finding it mostly clean. The small trash can in the corner though overflowing with...ew. A crap ton of used condoms and their discarded foil packets. He looks back to Dean, his body not looking any better than his own, bite marks and hickeys, but lacking any finger or hand shaped bruises at least. He rubs at his face, trying to recollect anything from the past few days. He's about to ask Dean for any details when he jumps up, "Gabe! Shit! Where's Gabe?!" He says, taking off for the living room as if the kid might be there, but thank god he's not or else he might be scarred for life.
Dean's behind Cas still gloriously nude, "He's still at the hospital." When Cas turns worried eyes to him, he holds up his hands. "He's fine to come home, has been. But I had them keep him for a few more day's. My brothers have been entertaining him."
Cas nods his head. "Okay, okay, that's good. I need to, need to go get him. I'll take the bus." Cas said, looking around for his wallet.
"Don't bother. Let me get dressed, and I'll take you to pick him up. We have some shit to talk about, but first, you should probably go shower. I've been trying to keep you clean, but, well." Dean said, motioning between them as if the answer to that riddle was obvious, and it was.
"Uh, you go first. Hot water don't last long here." Cas said, sitting down on the couch, wincing to the pain in his hips, back and between his legs from everything they've done the past few days.
Dean just gives a nod, picking up a bag by the door that must hold some clothes he had delivered to the apartment. "If you find my other clothes in the nest, just toss em. You're gonna have a lot of laundry to do with all that."
Cas nods, wrapping his arms around himself, feeling beyond vulnerable right now. He wishes he had a tub to soak his aching body in. But really, he just wanted Gabe back, wanted Dean out of here. After the bathroom door shuts, Cas goes to the bedroom, looking around. He first gets the bag out of the bedroom trash can, walking it out to the trash chute outside on the landing. He looks to Benny's apartment door, wanting to knock and thank the alpha again for saving Gabe, but he sniffs at his clothes, he reeks of his and Dean's scent, so it would probably be best to do that later.
Back inside, he gathered up all the clothes from the bed, and yeah, none of them could go back into the moving boxes. They all stunk like sex. He fills up one laundry bag with as much as he can, piling the rest in the corner. Luckily he has a second set of sheets, he needed to invest in another comforter, but him and Gabe can just use the blankets from the living room for the night until he get's theirs washed, thankful he hadn't nabbed those for the nest.
When Dean comes out, Cas awkwardly grabs a towel and squeezes past him, not saying anything as he gets in the bathroom. He's surprised not to see any steam in there. When he turns the shower handle to hot it actually warms up to hot, Dean must have taken a cold shower and saved him the hot water, though he didn't understand why such a selfish alpha would even do that for his whore. He looks in the mirror and stops, cheeks blushing up to see the icepack headband on his head. He hadn't even noticed it. The ice now melted, but still, the pink pointy animal ears stood up from his dark hair. If these were normal circumstances, he might think he looks cute in them, but he pulls them off, tossing them in the sink before getting undressed. He moans out as hot water flows over his sore battered body.
