I wake with a fright. My dream felt too real. I sit up and try to catch my breath.
A warm arm pulls me back towards the bed.
I fall back asleep.
I wake again. Yet this time there's light peeking through the curtains.
I rub my eyes and smile when I see Kakashi asleep next to me. He's laying on his back. I watch him sleep for awhile.
Then my stomach begins to growl.
I trace my finger along his face.
Once that doesn't work I place small kisses along his cheek. Working my way down to his neck.
He starts to stir when I reach his collarbone.
He opens his eyes and pulls me close for a proper kiss.
"Good morning." I say in a singsong way.
He smiles then chews on his bottom lip.
"I could really get used to this." He says wrapping his arms around me.
I kiss him again this time my eyes sting with tears.
He sees and furrows his brows.
"Tell me you're real." I say.
"Akari?" He replies.
"Tell me you're real." I repeat.
"I'm real." He says.
I stumble out of bed.
I nearly throw up my head is spinning.
"Akari? What?" he says.
He sits up more in the bed and I crumble to my knees.
I shake with sobs.
"Akari what is going on?!" He says loudly.
I feel around behind me on the desk. My fingers circle around one of my knives.
He tries to get closer to me.
"Stay the fuck away from me!" I say crying.
"Akari? Please? What's happening? What's wrong?" He asks.
"I'm worried about you." He adds.
My chest tightens and the bile is trying to force itself out of my body.
"Where the fuck is your scar!?" I scream at him.
He looks at me like I'm crazy.
"Akari." He says.He stands now.
"Where is your scar!!" I repeat pointing my knife firmly at him.
"It's here." He says motioning to the scar on his waistline.
I throw the knife at him. He doges it.
I grab another off of the table and back up to the door frame.
"The other one! The one I sewed up twice!" I sob.
He looks down.
The place where I know the scar should be is perfectly smooth.
