Madison wasn't surprised when Sophie shot up screaming in the middle of the night, Madison had been there after her near death encounter.
Sophie shoots up, grasping at her throat, tears and choked sobs echo through the room, Madison is quick to rush over, trying to soothe her.
"Shh, it's okay, it's okay,"
Sophie sobs as she rubs her chest with her good arm, trying to suck air in.
"It's okay, it's okay," Madison whispers, rubbing Sophie's back, scooting closer beside her in the bed.
Sophie leans into Madison, "I'm sorry, I'm sorry,"
"It's okay," Madison reassures, "I'm here, you're safe,"

Sophie wipes her face, cringing at the shooting pain in her ribs and in her shoulder.
"Are you alright?"
"Yeah, yeah it was just a bad dream. God, Mad's, how the fuck did you sleep after this shit,"
"I didn't...remember?"
Sophie lets out a small laugh, "Oh yeah,"
Madison looks at her watch, "My mom says you can get discharged around 8,"
"What time is it now?"
"4 am,"
Sophie groans, mushing her face in Madison's chest.
"Do you want to try to sleep for a bit longer?"
Sophie shakes her head, "I don't think I can,"
"Okay," Madison softly replies, wrapping her arm around Sophie.

Sophie moves her face from Madison's chest, looking up at the brunette.
"Thank you for saving my ass back there,"
Madison squints, "It was more Coach then me,"
"I mean at first. When you tackled me out of the way,"
"You don't need to thank me. I would have done it anytime. Besides, you saved my ass last time. I'm really fucking glad you're alive,"
Sophie smiles, "I'm really glad you're alive too, Mad's,"
Madison smiles, Sophie tilts the brunette's chin down, connecting their lips.
Madison moans softly into the kiss, pulling Sophie closer. Sophie shifts, tangling her hands in Madison's hair, slipping her tongue into the brunette's mouth.
Madison pulls away for a moment, then softly kissing Sophie's neck, the shaggy blonde lets out a shaky breath. "Mad's," she smiles.
Madison disconnects her lips from her neck, making eye contact with Sophie, "Are you okay?"
"Yeah, yeah I'm okay,"
Madison smiles, gently kissing the top of Sophie's head, the two wait the next couple hours out,

Madison scoots off the bed as the nurses arrive, changing Sophie's bandages and giving her pain medication for her ribs and head. Susana arrives shortly after, telling them they're all good to go.
"Wait," Sophie says to the nurse. "The girl who was brought in last night, Olivia, is she-"
"She's alive and well. She's just resting, once is what you should do as soon as you get home,"
Sophie nods, a smile slips on her lips, "You got it,"
Madison grabs a pair of sunglasses from her bag, placing them on Sophie's face.
"Thanks," she gives a small smile, once Madison offers back, "Come on, let's head home. We can make some popcorn, watch a movie?"

Sophie nods, "That would be nice,"
The two follow Susana to the car, Sophie cringes as the sun beams in her face.
Susana looks at her from the rearview mirror,
"How are you holding up?"
"I'm okay. My head just hurts. And my shoulder,"
"I mean...you were stabbed,"
Sophie can't help the snicker she lets out, especially at Susana's horrified expression.
"Ah. I mean, now that you mention it, that makes sense," Sophie smirks.
Susana shakes her head, fighting back a smile as she pulls into the driveway.
Madison waits for Sophie, walking in with her girlfriend, Sophie takes her hand as they walk inside, Susana is already plating cookies and making tea, Madison is quick to sit Sophie on the couch, grabbing an ice pack for her ribs. Madison also heads up to her room, quickly changing into a comfier outfit, also grabbing a sweater for Sophie before she makes her way downstairs.

Madison smiles as she sees Susana sitting beside Sophie, her mother is quick to make sure the ice pack stays on Sophie's ribs, as well as handing her her mug of tea, once Sophie cradles in her hands. The sunglasses are still resting on her face.
Sophie smiles as she sees Madison, Susana is quick to get up, getting a movie set up for them.
"What did you pick?" Madison sits beside Sophie.
Sophie shrugs, "I let your mom pick,"
Madison clicks her tongue, "Ah, we don't usually trust her with the movie selection"
Sophie smiles, "It can't be that bad,"
"Hey, I can hear you two," Susana teases.
Madison looks at the tv, the opening to E.T starts to play.
Sophie smiles widely, "I love this movie,"
"Well, looks like I'm not that bad at picking movies," Susana teases, then kissing the top of her daughter's head, "I'm going to head upstairs, catch up on some work. Sophie, I expect you to stay on that couch and rest, understand?" she wags her finger.
"Yes, Ma'am,"
"Call me if you need anything,"
"Will do, Mama,"
