It was quarter past 8 when Elizabeth was officially done with her office work she works with Margaret and shine newspaper
As she the personal assistant to the auditor in chief of Margret and shine newspaper company
After closing up and bidding farewell to the remaining office occupants and security
Elizabeth Wilson walked towards her apartment she shares with her best friend Alice Benjamin her room mate back in the university days .
Alice has always been there for her right from the day they both met , she is the one good thing her parents couldn't take away from her No matter how hard her elder brother Axel had fought against their friendship
Elizabeth had refused to give up Alice and kicked against every interventions her brother had made in other to stop her from being friends with Alice
Now after two years since that faithful night Alice was the only one who stood by her and took care of her after her parents threw her out of the house despite everything she had done for them .
They all had left her stranded and empty after they found out the cause of her feeling unwell few weeks after that faithful night
Elizabeth quickly withdraw away from her past thoughts as she came upon the building she shares with Alice
She walked inside and headed straight to the elevator after punching her floor number she then rode the elevator to 3 bedroom apartment that she has being sharing with her ever since the night her parents sent her packing
After getting off to her floor Elizabeth went to her apartment door and press on the video door bell waiting on Alice to come open the door
After a few minutes she heard the door clicked open Elizabeth walked inside before she could drop her bag two little bodies came crawling in fast motion towards her
Elizabeth quickly disposed her bags on the floor so she could pick up her two beautiful children Aiden and Ada
She picked each child up and kiss their faces smothering them with her motherly love
The two twins was the results of the night she spent with the heiress Amara and reason her parents kicked her out telling her they won't allow her to raise bastard under their roof
Who knew she would ended up pregnant on her first time of having sex
Looking at her beautiful children she couldn't but smile at them both , even if her life is going up side down
She will never regret giving birth to them because they alone made her feel useful and loved , they both give her life a meaning

I tried getting them to sleep but they won't budge, I even sang Coco melon for Them but for some reason Ada won't close her eyes , Alice said and then continued
Aiden was about to sleep few minutes ago but this little princess Ada nudged him repeatedly until he woke up and started crying
It wasn't long ago I got him to calm down and stopped crying Alice said to her friend
Elizabeth looked down at her children having heard what had happened and why they were still awake
She looked at thier innocent faces and said , Really you both don't want to sleep
Elizabeth said lovingly to her children as they both chatter gibberish back to her in their baby voice
She then started tickling the both of them thereby getting a hearty laughter from the them
Elizabeth then dropped her kids on the floor and walked towards the couch with her two babies trailing behind her before she could sit down properly
Aiden and Ada had climbed into her lap and rested their little bodies on her body
Elizabeth got her self comfortable she then helped them to settle properly on her
Alice looked on at her best friend, smiling gently as she saw the loving way Elizabeth Interact with her children
I am going to shower now Elizabeth when am done I will bring out the food so we could eat ok Alice said as she stood up walked off towards her room
Oh ok Elizabeth answered as see saw her friend walked away towards the direction of her room ,
She was then left alone with her children she looked down at their beautiful sleepy faces looking up at her
she then ran her fingers through Aiden hair so she could feel the little dreads pass through her palm
She couldn't help but wonder what kind of gene her children had inherited from Amara
From the day that they were born they both came into this world with little dreads on their head instead of straight hairs like most biracial kids
As time goes on as the little dreads started to grow out and straighten more , at first she was concerned and baffled as she doesn't know what it meant or seen anything like that
She had then eventually tried to comb out the hairs but it has proven too painful and difficult for the kids for they both cried throughout the experience and no hair was successfully comb out
She and Alice had thought about cutting the dreads but then step told Alice that Amara also have dreads so they both decided to do some research and digging on Amara s family
That was how they came to know that dreads is the symbol of the chikes lineage
Like for example if a child is born into the chike s family
The baby's hair must be of dread's that alone signify that they are true born child of the family
But if a child is being born without the special dread in the family that means the child is not of the chike s lineage
And that brings the whole family to question the mother on who is the father of the child
But so far so good all children and descendants of the chike lineage had the same dreads both male and female this thus makes them unique and special
Elizabeth brought her children close towards her body and kissed their chubby cheek Ada looked up at her with that beautiful siren eyes that remind her so much of Amara
This actually wanted to make her cry , was this her punishment for the pain and crime she inflicted to Amara Elizabeth thoughts to herself
Looking down at her children they both look so much like Amara that it hurts , it as if the universe wants her to always remember her crime
Elizabeth sighed and pulled her kids to her small body she then kissed her children head and sang Coco melon to them both
After sometime she saw that the both of them have slept off she guess they were waiting for her to come back before they will sleep
Let me help you take them both inside Alice said from the doorway
Elizabeth said a quiet thank you to Alice as she allowed her friend to help her take the kids To their room
