3rd>>>Kestueki walked her way down the halls to get back to her seat, little did she know that someone had entered the hall from behind.
"Kestueki," He spoke in a serious but calm tone. Acting like nothing had happened these past few weeks. It made her stop walking and she grit her teeth, very tempted to burn him to ashes. As she was well aware she was capable of such power.
She didn't even turn around to look at her father and just coldly responded, "What do you want." It was more of a demand than a question.
"How have you been?" Why was he asking- "Has the commission been training you properly?" .. spoke too soon...
She tch's and began to walk off, ignoring him completely with a dangerous glint in her eyes. She stopped again, still not turning around, "Did they ask for a signature when you gave me to them?" She clicked record on the phone in her pocket.
"Yes, why?" He was suspicious but thought low of her and thought she didn't know if it. Thanks to the chimera, she did though.
"Did they have a slot for mom's signature? Did you fake it?"
"She signed it herself. I mailed it to her in the hospital and she mailed it back with it signed," He responded, lying to her face. She began trembling with anger, knowing full well that was a lie.
"That easy??" Now she was boiling, and she felt her quirk wanting to burst out of its seems. The gloves give off an obvious smoking. She turned around to face him, glaring at him with killer intent. He stared back, noticing the hall had turned cold. Kestu herself hadn't noticed though, too caught up in her anger.
He didn't respond, just staring at the girl. Who didn't seem to be pleased about that.
"Did you fake it?! Did you even send it or is that a flat-out lie too?!" She yelled, not caring who heard.
"Get over it and grow up. You'll thank me later," And with that, he turned away and just started walking as she glared at his back with a look of shock and anger. 'Like hell, I'd ever thank you...' She thought to herself, turning the opposite way before going back to her seat before the next game started.
Hinana started to scold her for taking too long, she was not in the mood to be lectured and play the nice girl with her, so she simply told Hinana, "Shut up, woman." Knowing full well Hinana wouldn't hit her in public, too embarrassed herself.
She watched the next game in silence, smiling softly when her elder brother won 1st place with his team. It was fascinating to see him in semi-action. Especially without having her father at least 10 feet around. Now, the battles are gonna happen in 1v1. She was even more excited for that. The mashups seemed interesting enough for her anyway.
After a tiny break, the battles began, going by pretty quickly as she jotted down notes. Soon enough her brother's battle was up, and against Midoriya. She watched intently as Shoto charged ice at him and he dodged. She gasped when a big blast was heard and one of Midoriya's fingers appeared to be broken. This continued until Midoriya yelled something I wasn't able to hear, a few seconds of silence pass before a big fire blast abrupts, sending Midoriya flying out of the rectangle. Kestu watched on in awe.
The crowd's cheers were loud and annoyed her after that. After the last two battles, her brother came in 2nd. And she was so happy for him. He was so lucky to be able to do that. She wished she could. But with the commission, she couldn't. She wanted to go and hug Shoto, but knowing Hinana she wouldn't allow it.
While he was receiving his medal his eyes wandered across the crowd in search of something, Kestu already knew he was searching for her. But he wouldn't be able to see her in this crowd.
After the Sports festival results Hinana dragged the little girl to the front, forcing her into a fancy car before getting in right after her. Giving Kestu no time to process it to resist.
They got out the car and headed into the main Hero Commission building. Climbing the levels with the elevator and then being dropped off at her room before she was left alone. She sighed and changed out of the uniform and into a white T-shirt with grey sweatpants the Hero Commission lended her.
She took her hair out of the ponytail, shaking her head slightly with a sigh of... she didn't even know. She laid on her bed, turning to look out the window to look over the city. As usual, she thought of her siblings. Missing them even more. Soon it was dark, and with nothing to do she entertained herself with changing flame colors in her hands, it was sorta fascinating.
And just like that a week or two pass quickly, with Shoto doing his internship at his father's agency, Nastuo and Fuyumi worrying constantly about Kestu, and Kestu being trained to death.
It was Saturday afternoon, Shoto entering his mom's hospital room. Seeing her for the first time in years. Rei was joyed to see Shoto, and hugged him close as she immediately asked about Kestu.
"Is she okay? Does she hate me? Is Enji to rough with her?!" She asked in concern, Shoto frowned. Saddened about what he was about to tell her.
"Well uhm... a few weeks ago... Father sold her to the Hero Commission to get trained 'to her full potential' he says. But here's the thing... we might have a way to get her back," He explains, remembering what his principal had told him.
Rei was silent for a couple of minutes tiny tears forming in her eyes as she nodded for him to continue. And he did, explaining that his Father could've faked her signature In order to give them custody of Kestu.
"So, if we go there and explain that there's no way you signed those papers, we should technically get Kestu back. Giving the fact not both parents gave consent to give her away like that," Shoto concluded, glancing away and thinking hard. It should work. They should get Kestu back.
Rei nodded, feeling determined to get her daughter back, and also pissed that Enji would do that to the poor girl. Now she wondered how Kestu's childhood had been without her. She hoped her other children were by her side keeping her strong.
