It's been 2 weeks since we have been exploring this accursed desert.

Still nothing. No ruins or signs of any signals that the Strike Freedom can latch on.

But our time wasn't wasted at all.

"MASTER!!!"

"Balance, Arte, Balance. You need to find balance to sustain flight!" I screamed at her but it was futile.

For the 10th time today, the Akatsuki crashed into the sandy dunes below.

"Ugh..." I heard her groan as I landed next to her crash site.

I have decided to take responsibility for her. Yes, I surrendered to her needs but I don't want her as a slave.

I need back up.

In the last mission to unlock more of my code, I need to fight an entire armada.

Not an army.

An entire Armada of Mobile Suits and Armors.

Composed of various Zaku line MS to Massive Mobile Armors and a bunch of suicide bombing MS.

What's more difficult is that there is a Gundam at the backlines.

He never got to see it before he got overwhelmed and killed in the Strike Freedom. Using the Akatsuki was fine but it was still overwhelmed by the huge amount of enemies.

I need someone to look out for me.

So Arte has to take that spot.

She is ecstatic for some reason but I started training her in guns and swordplay (using Marion's teachings, bless her soul).

She eagerly took it like a sponge albeit slowly. Turns out, all kinds of elves are slow learners. It's due to their long lifespans, allowing them to learn at their own pace even if it takes 100 years.

But not Arte. She's too dedicated and eager, she wanted to prove herself.

She is acceptable.

It's her flight on the other hand...

"What did I tell you?"

"Don't accelerate when falling down..." A mournful and sad elf replied back in the crater.

I sighed.

Taking a look at the sun and calculating its position, it's already near noon. Probably at 11 at minimum.

"Take flight and try to find a shade. I'll monitor you."

"Roger." A golden streak blasted out of the crater in an instant.

I watched her as she ascended high, going up to over 1000 meters above before she started to lose stability in flight. Not long afterwards, she began falling to another sand dune. This time, it's more controlled as she tries to restore balance and slow down her crash.

It didn't but still acceptable.

Later...

"Oi! Don't hug all the meat!"

"Mmmrgp!"

"Swallow first, you freaking glutton!"

Reprimanding the gluttonous dark elf, I went back to stirring the pot.

All that beauty yet no household skills at all. At least she's enjoying herself in eating.

Currently, we found ourselves under a bunch jutting out rocks, forming a small mountain of rocks that is home to some snakes and insects. Fortunately, our arrival (in Arte's case, crash land) scared them away, leaving us in peace to rest and cook.
