The Japanese raccoon dog, also known as the tanuki, is a wild canid species native to Japan. It's related to wolves, foxes, and domestic dogs.

The earth was a beautiful thing if you needed it to be, or if you wanted to make it become that way. And in a way, it was both to you in the end. The sweet smells of flowers and grass encouraging your lungs. Combined with the warmth of the sunlight warming your muscles and urging them on. Both made you feel as light as a feather on your mere feet and the ground felt soft under you. You were smiling. Arms out splayed against the wind blowing around your hair like crazy and cooling your body against the warm sunlight beaming down on you.

You stood there staring at the beautiful blue sky with fluffy clouds rolling by with the wind guiding them along and the sun shining upon them giving them that beautiful white color. It made you smile seeing the sky in all it's beauty. Taking a deep inhale of the air blowing over you, you slowly out your arms down before slowly turning back around to the task you were doing. Lush greenery stretched as far as the eye could see. The sounds of wind rustling through the wild fruit trees and the occasional sound of falling fruit hitting the ground accompanied birds singing. The smells of fruit and flowers floating about and filling your lungs with the sweet scents.

Your hands found purchase on the large basket set up on the ground next to you before effortlessly lifting it up off the ground, turning, and then pausing with a smile. Turning your head to the right and raising a brow at the sight of a brow object waving from behind a tree.

"Hello, Tanjiro. Nice to see you again."

A moment of silence passed as the tail paused before slipping fully behind the tree. A moment more passed before a figure stepped out from behind the tree rubbing his neck sheepishly.

"Was it that obvious?"

"Yeah. You forgot to tuck in your tail again."

"Ah. I always forget about that."

Standing before you was a young boy, one you've seen around here plenty of times and he looked no different than any other person his age. Minus the round ears on his head that twitched with earrings and the large fluffy brown tail wagging from his back. A sheepish smile adorned his face as he rubbed his neck.

"If you're going to hide from humans then you should remember that. What are you doing here?"

"I smelt sugar and flour and assumed a human was nearby. I'm glad it's you though! Does that mean you were baking something?"

"Spot on as always! I made some cakes and now I'm going to be making some pies later this week." You held up the large, heavy basket of juicy bright red apples, and other fruit. "I'm making some apple pies, some pumpkin, and a blueberry."

"That sounds delicious! Here. Let me help you carry it back."

You did nothing but smile as he sweetly walked over and just picked up the basket out of your hands. "Aw. Thank you. You're always so sweet. Tell your mom to stop by my house later this week and I'll give her some pies for your family."
