Part 15 : Torn Between Two Hearts

Finally prapai's voice was firm, but laced with empathy and says "uncle you can't do this to james..i know i still have feelings for star but i can't hurt him for my own happiness"

david's expression was resolute "enough prapai!..your marriage to james is over..you'll marry star our son and make him happy and stay happy with him"

kelly nodded in agreement and says "yes prapai..we've discussed this, and it's for the best...you and star have a deep connection and we won't let james's feelings get in the way..", james's sobs grew louder, his body shaking with grief "Please, don't do this...i love p'pai...i don't want to lose him..."

Here sky mind reeled, unsure of what to make of his parents sudden decision he looked at prapai, seeing the distress in his eyes, and knew that he had to make things right but he is confused he didn't remember he love prapai ever and why prapai saying he loves him

But david and kelly were unmoved, their decision final "prapai and star will get married and that's that" david said, his voice firm

The room fell silent prapai glanced at james who is crying then at sky who is looking confused and shocked he sighed and says "uncle..aunty..star..he doesn't remember anything now..he didn't remember he ever loved me.."

david and kelly exchanged shocked glances, their faces pale "what do you mean?" david asked, his voice barely above a whisper, prapai's eyes locked onto sky's, a mix of sadness and longing "star has amnesia..he doesn't my and our love..he doesn't even remember his own past..he didn't remember memories of his childhood and the time he spend with us"

kelly's hand flew to her mouth, her eyes wide with shock and she says "Oh no this can't be..our son he...he doesn't remember anything?", sky's expression was confused, his eyes darting between prapai, david, and kelly "what's going on? what are you talking about?" he says

Prapai's voice was soft his words directed at sky and he says "you don't remember me and our love or our time together"

Sky's eyes were wide with confusion, his mind reeling with questions and prapai's heart was heavy with sorrow, his love for Sky still strong, but seemingly impossible "what do you mean? why didn't you tell me?" sky asked finally

prapai's expression was laced with sadness and he says "i didn't tell you because i knew you didn't love me because you doesn't remember anything sky...you don't feel the same way about me as i do about you"

sky's face went pale, his eyes wide with shock "what? no! that's not true...i...i care about you p'pai.", prapai's smile was bitter and he says "you care about me..but you don't love me sky...and i knew that if i told you about our past you would only feel obligated to me or not love me truly"

sky's voice was laced with confusion as he spoke in low tone "so..you won't love me now?..", papai's expression was fierce, his eyes burning with intensity "No star! i'm saying i still love you infinitely but you don't remember our love and i won't force you to love me back now..when you don't even remember who i am to you.."

sky looked at him his mind reeling with emotions and he says "but...but why? why would you still love me when i don't even remember you?"

prapai's smile was sad, his voice barely above a whisper as he spoke "because...star..my love for you isn't based on your memories of me...it's based on who you are, who you've always been and that hasn't changed, even if your memories have"

prapai's gaze drifted to james, who was still sobbing quietly before returning to david amd says "that's why i can't marry star now uncle..he doesn't even remember anything.."

david's face twisted in frustration and he says "oh gosh!!..it's okay!..prapai you'll still marry star we've already discussed this"

prapai's get shocked and said "uncle i won't marry someone who doesn't love me back..it's not fair to either of us", david's expression turned cold and he says "you'll do as you're told prapai you'll marry star and make him happy even if it's just a pretend marriage..you already know in your and his childhood we already confirmed it you two will get married but that accident happened..but now he is back so you have to marry him!"
