The next few days were a whirlwind of activities for Isabella, filled with moments she hadn't anticipated in her wildest dreams.
She spent her days divided between her beloved brother, Marco, and the lively and charming Lucia, Don Lorenzo's sister.
Isabella introduced Lucia to Marco, and it wasn't long before she noticed the subtle signs of a tiny crush blooming in her brother's eyes whenever he saw Lucia.
She had yet to see Lorenzo, but she didn't find herself worrying about his absence.
Instead, she was content with the idea that he was giving her time and space to adjust to this new and uncharted lifestyle.
Their days were filled with laughter, bonding, and sharing stories.
Lucia's infectious personality made it easy for Isabella to feel at ease, and she was glad to have a female companion in the mansion.
Lucia's life was quite different from Isabella's, but she had a way of making everyone feel included and comfortable.
One morning, as Isabella sat at the dining table, sipping her coffee, She heard a familiar, deep voice
"Tesoro," Lorenzo called.
"Yes," Isabella replied, looking at his handsome face.
"Here, take this for your shopping with Lucia today," Lorenzo said, his expression unreadable. He handed her a black card.
Isabella hesitated for a moment. "No, thank you. I have some money saved," she replied.
"Keep your money, tesoro, and don't question me." Lorenzo smiled and said in a firm, authoritative voice.
Don't question me,
Isabella mockingly repeated in her head, her stubbornness flaring for a moment.
She nodded and managed a tight-lipped smile, though her thoughts were far from obedient.
Just then, Lucia walked into the room with a bright and breezy
"Hi, bro," to which Lorenzo replied with a softer tone, "Hi, Lucia."
Lucia then turned to Isabella, her blue eyes sparkling with curiosity.
"Oh, my Bella, you're not ready. Come, let's get you ready."
The two women headed out, leaving Lorenzo to his business, with bodyguards discreetly trailing them.
They arrived at a high-end boutique that seemed to be straight out of a fairy tale.
As they entered, Isabella couldn't help but notice the discreet presence of the men following them.
Lucia glanced over her shoulder and sighed,
"Ignore them. I tried to tell my dumbass brother we don't need bodyguards, but clearly, he didn't listen."
Isabella couldn't help but laugh at Lucia's ability to use such casual language when talking about her imposing brother, Don Lorenzo.
Not many people could get away with calling him names and still be alive to tell the tale.
A friendly sales associate approached them with a warm smile.
"Good afternoon! How can I assist you ladies today?"
Lucia stepped in, exuding her signature charm.
"We're looking for a classic, timeless wedding gown for my friend here. Something that will make her feel like a princess."
Isabella couldn't help but blush at Lucia's description of her. The sales associate nodded enthusiastically.
"Of course! Let's start with this one. It has a sweetheart neckline and a long train."
Lucia approved with a grin. "Yes, that looks perfect! Can we see it in her size?"
The sales associate quickly went to retrieve the dress.
"Here it is, ladies. I think this will look stunning on your friend. Shall we try it on?"
Isabella's eyes lit up as she examined the dress.
"Yes, definitely. We'll take it." Lucia said
They moved to the fitting room, and the bride's dress fitting began.
After trying on the dress and adding accessories, Isabella emerged from the fitting room, her eyes shining with excitement.
"Oh, my goodness, I feel like a princess! This is the one!"
Lucia beamed at her friend.
"You look absolutely beautiful. It's perfect for you. It's magical. My brother won't know what hit him."
Isabella blushed at the thought of her upcoming wedding and hugged Lucia, their bond growing stronger with each passing day.
"Thank you so much for being here with me today. I couldn't do this without you."
Lucia smiled warmly. "You're going to make the most stunning bride."
After purchasing the dress, Lucia took Isabella shopping for lingerie, and the intimate nature of their shopping trip couldn't help but make Isabella blush.
Deep down, she was grateful for Lucia's guidance and support.
After their shopping adventure, they stopped at a quaint restaurant to enjoy a meal together.
Their laughter and conversations flowed easily, as if they had been friends for years.
Meanwhile, Lorenzo and Jason were returning from a visit to one of their warehouses, where Lorenzo's authority and power were undisputed.
Each step they took was accompanied by greetings from formidable men with guns.
"Good day, boss," they all acknowledged, and Lorenzo responded with a curt nod.
As they sat in the car on the way back to the mansion, Jason couldn't help but tease Lorenzo.
"I didn't think I'd live to see you get married."
Lorenzo smirked, "Well, I guess there's a first time for everything."
Jason laughed and continued,
"I hope Lucia doesn't max out your card. What were you thinking, sending Lucia with Bella?"
Lorenzo let out a little laugh of his own,
"I noticed they have become close. I hope Lucia leaves my tesoro innocent."
Jason looked out the car window, his heart filled with genuine happiness for his best friend.
Lorenzo might be a formidable and ruthless mafia don, but even he deserved some happiness in his life.
Sorry guys I know it's a short chapter.
I love Lucia❤️. Who else love Lucia too?
