I am wondering if this was the stalker who was haunting me. If he somehow managed to access the cameras. My senses are high awake. Abruptly, I don't feel sleepy or the tiredness that I underwent just a few seconds ago.

All I desired was to seek easement beneath the protection of my blanket. My mind is, for some reason, racing for the thrill. It's strange, honestly.

The right action I should have taken was to inform the police. Inform Matthew. But I chose to stay put. Doubting myself if I am going to respond. While I processed another text.

"Are you considering playing the little game?" I scoffed.

"Who are you?" My fingertips moved fast and furious on the screen. Even so, they were extinguished immediately.

"Is that what concerns you the most, love?" My lips parted, and I took a sharp intake of air. The pet names were. Ridiculous.

"Do as I say and you shall receive a surprise at the end." Nonsense. I diverted my thoughts away from it. Ignoring the next upcoming messages. I am sat on the bed's edge.

My phone is back on the nightstand. Deadly quiet yet it lasted only for a minute.

The window flung open. I jerked back. A sudden strong match of surge. I quivered. I get the sign; He was not happy with the ignorance. The phone was back in my palms.

The text was short: disable the cameras.

And he thinks - he expects me to go along with that.

Playing back the glances at the cameras did give an uneasy flutter in my backbone. My eyes became two full moons.

"Do you want Matthew to sleep peacefully tonight?" He's threatening.

How amusing. I let him roam around freely and this is what I get. Blackmailed. With a heavy heart, I obeyed it in the end. My brainless mind agreed - for the sake of Matthew's safety.

Safety describes my life at the moment.

One by one. I found. I cut. The wires. Locating the black-lensed observers around was a mind puzzle. Especially in the dark. I have three hearts and am already losing one of them as it pounds against my ribs. It's going to rip out.

If my eyes had a night vision, this all would have been easier. When the last wire was taken down, I questioned how long it would take for Matthew to notice. Each section cuts out with a blurry static appearing on the screen he monitors.

I am standing in the middle of my room.

Another ding. A simple instruction.

"Close your eyes."
