CHAPTER 2 ~
Having to deal with a devious, simultaneously rude and blunt human being, and a killer I might add, have been the longest 3 hours of my life. Having to hold my mouth not to blurt out my thoughts is taking so much of my energy that I haven't noticed that the plane has already landed in a private runway.
I don't know how to address him because I don't know his name and I am too afraid to ask for it, so I ended up staring at him, hoping he'll take notice of my presence but I doubt it, he seemed occupied with whatever it is in his laptop.
"Didn't they teach you in prep school that it's impolite to stare?" He asked not taking off his eyes in his laptop.
I almost jump from my seat but at the same time forced a cough to stop myself from smiling, I must be crazy.
"Haven't they teach you in prep school that it's a polite thing to introduce yourself if you're with someone?" I retort back and that made him look at me.
There he is again, cocking his head on one side with a slight frown visible in his gorgeous face. He might not notice it but I do, he does it whenever he'll say something or if he's thinking like truly weighing his next move.
"Get off the plane" He calmy said and I am kind of taken aback by his reply because gone are his jest and sarcasm.
I did not linger much further and immediately walk through the plane's exit, too afraid to look back thinking he might be pointing a gun in my direction.
The wind blows my hair as I stepped out the plane still wearing my jogging outfit which is a black leggings and a neon pink shirt that fit my body and enhanced my curves, but the materials are light weight in which the cold wind had no problem seeping through it. I hugged myself in response to the cold and maybe, just maybe it will protect me.
I was about to take a step down when a hand grabbed me steady and a coat was draped over my shoulder. I was glued in my place extremely surprised by the gesture.
He's so near that I can feel him breathing near my neck and it send an alarming impulses throughout my body.
"My name's Romeo." He whispered and I think I've stopped breathing hearing him say his name because I did not quite expect it. I bit my lip to suppress my smile and tightened the wrap of his coat around my body, I turned around my smile already hidden and meet his eyes.
"I can't say it's nice to meet you, but thanks for the coat Romeo." I said and shrugged in which he returned with a smirk.
"Well, It would be a shame if you die from hypothermia Celine." He sardonically said and walked past me to descend the stairs while I was left with clenched fist thinking when could I punch him. Damn him and his witty remarks.
A black Rolls-Royce was waiting for him in the tarmac as well as men who look like they just came out from the Men in Black movie because of their uniformed black suit.
Is Romeo that important to have this sort of security?
Romeo.
Romeo...
No it can't be.
He can't be that Romeo. I thought to myself, really wishing that he is not the Romeo I had in mind.
I looked back at the private plane and it just confirmed my suspicion, because in its tail was a printed letter 'V'.
V that could mean anything.
But please not V for Vasiliev.
But with these kind of entourage and detailed security personnel waiting for us or for him, it could only mean that I'm with a very important person.
