Courtroom No. 1 ~ Niamh Tenniswood's POV

"Y-You're.... accusing..... me?" Mr. Callabero asked, teeth gritted. "B-But... why?"

"Earlier you said you had no idea of the plan the victim had in mind," I explained. "Your emotions, however, say otherwise."

"You mean you heard fear or something in his voice?" Prosecutor Cruz asked. I nodded in response.

"B-But...! Emotions can hardly be called proof, right?!" Mr. Callabero objected. "A court of law can only accept physical evidence!"

"What if there is no physical evidence?" I suggested. "In situations like those, examining cases from the psychological perspective can-"

"You call yourself a lawyer?!" Mr. Callabero cried. "A lawyer saying that emotions count as evidence?! What a joke!"

I frowned. I wasn't going to let him get the better of me...! If anything, he was just making himself look more suspicious!

"Why don't you just admit it already?" Prosecutor Cruz sighed. "We all know you knew about the plan. There's not really much sense in hiding it, is there?"

Mr. Callabero glanced around the courtroom. "It...wasn't me..." he growled. "You can't prove it..."

"The defense's special little ears can prove it. Right?" He glanced my way. I nodded in response: the fear in his voice was loud and clear.

"Y-You can't prove anything...!" Mr. Callabero paused before smirking to himself. "Your evidence is all BURNT up!"

I frowned in slight confusion, yet to realize that my hands had become fists and were shaking.

"Are you okay, Niamh?" I heard Mr. Red's voice ask, though distantly.

"Your FIERY compassion to solve this case is all for nothing!" Mr. Callabero continued to cry. "You've CRASHED and failed!"

"Stop it!" Tia cried, standing from her seat. "Stop saying all those words, or I'll...!"

My vision became blurry as those words took their effect and memories flashed into my mind.

(Wh-What are you doing...?! G-Get ahold of y-yourself...!)

The courtroom buzzed louder and louder, the judge tried to bring the court to order and Prosecutor Cruz was frozen in confusion.

Those were the last things I could see before my vision faded to darkness.

*cough cough*

"Wh-Where are you...?! Mum? Dad? Maria? I-I can't see you!"

*cough cough*

"P-Please don't leave me...! You're all gonna be fine! Please don't go!"

*cough cough*

"Th-There's too much fire...! All this fire...! All this smoke...! I-I can't-!"

*CRASH!*

"EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEK!"
