It is Harvest season in Evelyn's town and she has the perfect recipe for a pumpkin pie.

How was it? I am sure the pumpkin pie tasted delicious, right? You don't have to follow her recipe if you do not want to, but I am sure she will find you and feed you her scrumptious pie.
Did you know, the first version of pumpkin pie was made by British colonists who sliced off the top of a pumpkin, removed the seeds, and filled the hollow with milk, spices, and honey. The result was baked in hot ashes and resembled a pudding more than a pie.
This story was a sudden idea for the Shortys on ShortStory profile. With so many prompts they had given, this idea came out.
I hope you had your own ideas, maybe a few places were a little to creepy for you, yet I guess if you are here, you enjoyed the small read.
Most of you know how short story isn't really my thing, but I tried to make something out of it.
