aoife stood in the paddock at imola, the historic circuit buzzing with the anticipation that always accompanied a race weekend. the weather was mild, with a light breeze rustling the leaves of the surrounding trees, and the sound of engines firing up in the distance created a hum of excitement in the air.

as she prepared for her next interview, aoife spotted lando norris walking toward her, a playful grin already forming on his face. she'd interviewed him countless times, but today there was something different in his demeanor—a lightness, an extra spark in his eyes. she couldn't help but smile as he approached, his energy infectious.

"hey, aoife," lando greeted, his voice warm and easy. "ready to grill me with some tough questions?"

aoife laughed, shaking her head slightly. "i'll go easy on you this time, lando. don't worry." she raised her microphone, her gaze meeting his as she began. "so, we're here at imola, one of the most iconic tracks on the calendar. how are you feeling heading into this weekend?"

lando shrugged, leaning a little closer to aoife than necessary, a mischievous glint in his eyes. "feeling good, but i'm more interested in how you're feeling. you look amazing today, by the way. did you do something different?"

aoife felt a slight blush rise to her cheeks, but she maintained her composure, refusing to be thrown off by his flirting. "well, thank you, lando. but let's keep the focus on you, shall we? after all, you're the one who's about to take on this challenging circuit."

lando chuckled, clearly enjoying himself. "fair enough. imola's a tough one, but i've always loved racing here. it's got so much history, and the track itself is just... pure racing. but it's always nice to have someone as lovely as you around to make the weekend even better."

aoife raised an eyebrow, giving him a teasing look. "lando, are you flirting with me before a race? isn't that supposed to be bad luck or something?"

he laughed, leaning back slightly but still holding her gaze. "maybe i'm just trying to get some good luck on my side. besides, who could resist a bit of a chat with you before getting into the serious stuff?"

aoife couldn't help but laugh along with him, appreciating his playful nature. "well, i appreciate the compliment, but let's get back on track. what's your strategy going into this weekend? you've had some strong performances here in the past—what's the plan to keep that momentum going?"

lando shifted gears, though the playful tone never quite left his voice. "the plan is to stay focused, get everything out of the car, and hopefully put ourselves in a good position for the race. it's all about finding the right balance here, and imola doesn't forgive mistakes. but with a little extra motivation," he added with a wink, "i think we can make it happen."

aoife rolled her eyes playfully, but she couldn't deny that lando's charm had her smiling. "sounds like you've got it all figured out. any final thoughts before you head out for the weekend?"

lando paused, his expression softening just a bit. "just that it's always great to see you, aoife. you make these interviews a lot more fun. and, of course, let's hope for a good race—both for me and for your interview ratings."

aoife shook her head, amused. "i'm sure you'll do great, lando. and thanks for the chat—it's always a pleasure."

with that, lando gave her a quick nod and a smile, before heading off toward the garage, his usual swagger in his step. aoife watched him go, still smiling to herself as she lowered the microphone. interviewing lando was always a bit of a wild card, but she couldn't deny that he had a way of making even the most routine moments a little more interesting.

as aoife stood at the side of the track beside the other television presenters while they waiting for the national anthem. aoife watched as lando walked over to the red carpet they stand during the anthem, he gave her a quick look and smiled, as she smiled back he looked away quick as his friend carlos nudged him to look forward as the italian national anthem began.

after the anthem lando made his way back to his little station to get ready for the race, aoife quickly grabbed him for a interview which luckily wasn't live.

"lando do you mind?" aoife asked him as his head shot around, "hm?" he replied back looking at her "interview?" she said as she pointed at the camera. "anything for you"  and looked over at the luckily not rolling camera as aoife rolled his eyes at him started the questions "how are feeling for the race as you start p3?" lando looked at her and smiled before beginning his answer "i feel good, you know the car feels amazing especially after the upgrades in miami, maybe i can go for a another win we will just see i guess" he shrugged and aoife smiled back "well i wish you the best of luck lando, hopefully another win is coming your way, but i must let you go get ready" she smiled at him as she walked away and he smiled back looking back before turning back to get ready.

lando finished the race in p2, happy but frustrated because he was close to another win, as he walked over to do his post race interview he seen aoife, who was taking the interviews she smiled and hugged him "you did great, lando!!" he smiled softly "thank you" she looked down at her papers "anyways you were very close to your second win, what do you think you could have done more to achive it?" aoife looked up "yeah it hurts me to say, but one or two more laps and i think i would have got him.." he says as aoife nods and he continues "so tough, a shame i fought hard right untill the very last lap but i just lost out on a little bit to much of max in the beginning." aoife nodded and started speaking again "well thank you, lando!" as she moved onto the next interview.
