When I reached Victoria's house, I rang the doorbell, waiting for her to open up. But there was no answer. I waited a bit longer, listening for any sign of movement inside, but everything was quiet.
A small frown formed on my face as I reached into my bag and pulled out the key she had given me. She did say I could come over whenever I wanted, so I figured it wouldn't hurt to let myself in.
Sliding the key into the lock, I turned it and pushed the door open, stepping inside.
As I stepped inside, the strong smell of alcohol hit me immediately. The house was eerily quiet, except for the soft creak of the door as it closed behind me. I walked slowly, my eyes scanning the floor. There were empty alcohol bottles scattered everywhere, some tipped over, others rolling slightly as I stepped closer. The sight made my heart sink. This wasn't like Victoria at all, what had happened here?
"What are you doing here?" Victoria's voice cut through the silence,
I quickly turned toward the sound, my heart racing. As soon as I saw her, I speed-walked over, my concern growing with each step. Without thinking, I held her face gently in both hands, my eyes searching hers, trying to figure out what was wrong.
Victoria roughly pushed my hands away, her expression cold and distant. The suddenness of it made me freeze, my heart dropping even further.
Suddenly, Victoria's voice pierced through the silence, filled with anger. "I said, why are you here?"
I froze, my heart pounding in my chest. I had never seen her like this before. Her face was twisted with so much anger and hate that it almost didn't seem like her. For the first time, I felt a wave of fear wash over me, making my breath catch in my throat. She looked like she was about to explode at any moment.
I swallowed hard, my voice trembling as I managed to speak. "I-I missed you and I wanted to see you," I said, my eyes dropping to the floor, god what is wrong with me?
She took a long breath and ran her hand through her hair. I watched her, my worry growing.
"Why are you being like this?" , "I'm so confused. Have I done something? Did something happen? What's all this?" I pointed to the liquor bottles across the floor and the table. "What has gotten into you?"
Her face remained emotionless as she harshly grabbed my arm, and without saying a word, she started walking toward the door.
"Victoria, what are you doing?", "What the hell!" I exclaimed, struggling to free myself from her grip.
She stopped by the door and let go of my arm. Her voice was cold and firm. "I don't want to see you again. Get out."
"What..." I stammered, unable to process what she was saying.
"Just tell me why? What have I done?" I asked, my voice breaking as a tear slipped down my cheek.
She just looked at me, and for a split second, I saw my Victoria. But as soon as it came it went.
"Please, talk to me, baby. I know something happened. We can work it out together," I say, pleading with my eyes.
"I can't do this anymore, whatever this is. I can't. Just go and never come back," she said, making my heart twist.
Just hours ago, we were happy. What had changed? All that we have been through, was it all nothing to her?
"What do you mean, 'whatever this is'? I'm your girlfriend, for God's sake!" I said, shoving her backward but she barely moved.
"All those promises were nothing after all," I say, wiping away my tears. My heart felt like it was about to burst. I love her so much that if me leaving would make her happy, then I would do that-even if it breaks me.
"If that's what will make you happy, then I won't show my face again," I said, looking at her one last time. A tear fell again, and I turned around. I placed the key on the table and walked out.
As I step outside, I look up at the sky, now grey and dull. The sun has faded, and I can feel the rain coming.
I take a deep breath as my vision blurs, but I keep moving toward my car. Every step feels heavy, like my legs are ready to give out. When I finally reach the door, I grip it tightly as a wave of dizziness hits. I shake it off, get in the car, and drive away. My tears start falling harder, and I know I can't go back to the house like this, so I pick up my phone and call Sophie.

"Thank you for bringing him. I couldn't go back to the house like this," I say to Sophie as Wolf licks my face, as if trying to comfort me.
"Don't thank me, baby. Anything that would make you feel better," she replies as she sits next to me on her bed. She pulls me into her arms and gently caresses my arms.
"Did they ask about me?" I ask in almost a whisper, as I don't have any energy left in me; I cried so much.
"Yeah, I told them you were sleeping over tonight," she says softly. I told her about everything that happened with Victoria.
"Babe, you shouldn't upset yourself like that. You are Anastasia Blade, for heaven's sake. You are literally everyone's dream-who is she to treat you like that? She definitely does not deserve you."
I shake my head. "No, something definitely happened. I know her; she wouldn't do that for no reason. She might have also been drunk. She...was hurt. I could see it in her eyes," I say, playing with Wolf's fluffy hair as he gently bites my hand.
"Even if she was drunk, Ana, that isn't an excuse. Plus, true colors actually come out when you're drunk, and regardless of whether she was hurt, she has no right to take it out on you. I would encourage you not to see her again."
"Well, it's not like she wants to see me," I say, my voice breaking at the end, and I feel my tears falling again. Wolf quickly starts barking and licking me.
"Ana, please don't cry. Come here," she says, pulling me into a hug while she gently strokes my back. But I can't help it. I love her so much, and I feel like my heart is being ripped out of my chest. She needs me. I know it-I could feel it-but I know she won't talk to me. I just wish I could know why. Why did she do what she did?
I feel like I'm going crazy.
What if something happened to her? It hasn't been long since she healed. Maybe I should go check on her. But what if she gets mad?
