Its all just common courtesy

Valentina's POV

Was I... jealous? No, of course not. I was just looking out for her. Common courtesy. It's what anyone would do. Yeah, that's it.

I decided to get her flowers or whatever girls her age seem to like. I don't really get why giving someone flowers is considered "romantic" or anything. I find it stupid, but she seems to like it. And it's for the mission, anyway.

"What color would you like?" the flower shop woman asked.

I paused for a moment, her eyes suddenly pops in my head, and I say, "Red."

As I pulled up to the university, I rolled my eyes at the big flowers bouquet. "Why am I doing this?"

I got out of the car and tried to spot her. It was 1:55 PM, and I knew by 2 PM she would
already be out.

Anastasia's POV

"Anastasia, you are a pure talent. You just need to strengthen your heart. You can't throw up while operating a surgery in the future, can you?" the doctor said to me. I actually didn't throw up. I was about to, but I held it in... until I couldn't anymore and had to leave the surgery room.

"I know. I'll work on that. It's just my first time, that's all," I replied. He looked at me and smiled as he opened the door for me.

"Here, this is my card. It has my number. If you have any trouble or need help, give me a call," he said, winking at me. I rolled my eyes internally and took his card, knowing damn well I'd throw it away as soon as I left.

"Dr. Valdez, please stand here with your surgery partner. We want to take a picture," someone called out.

We moved to stand next to the university logo for the picture. Suddenly, he wrapped his arm tightly around my waist. Just as I was about to push his arm away, he was on the floor. I looked to see where that punch came from and saw Victoria.

Before I could say anything, she went at him again, hitting him over and over.

"Victoria, enough! What are you doing? You're gonna kill him!" I screamed, but it didn't seem like she would stop. His blood was dripping everywhere, and his face was busted up.

"Victoria, what the hell! Get off him, he's gonna die!" I screamed again, but it didn't work. Everyone around was too scared to come close.

I bent down and grabbed her arms, pushing her away from the almost-dead man on the floor—at least that's what he looked like.

I was honestly scared to look at him; his condition was that bad. I couldn't believe she would do that, that she was capable of hurting someone like this. Who the hell was this person standing in front of me?

"Are you crazy?! What is wrong with you? Why would you do that? What are you thinking right now?" I yelled

"This piece of filth touched you! Did you not realize that, or did you just like it, and that's why you're defending him?" she interrupted, screaming.

"Get in the car NOW! I'm taking you home," she shouted at me.

"Excuse me? You've officially gone mad. First of all, I was about to remove his hand. Second, I'm not going anywhere with you. Get out of here; I don't want to see you right now."

She grabbed my arm firmly. "Yes, I've gone mad. And when I am, you don't want to know what I can do. So get in the car," she said in a tone that scared me.

"Let go of my arm, you're hurting me," I say, trying to pull away and she quickly let go.

When she did, I hit her chest with all my strength, but she didn't flinch or move.

"I'm not going anywhere with you. I don't even recognize who you are right now," I said, turning to leave, my heart pounding.

While I was in the car, I could see through the mirror that she was following me. When I arrived at the penthouse, I quickly got inside, trying to avoid her. As I was about to press the elevator button, she appeared and stopped me.

"I told you I don't want to see you. Get that through your head."

"Ana, I'm sorry, please listen to me. Does your arm hurt?" she asked in a worried tone, reaching to touch my arm, but I pulled away.

"Ocean eyes, I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. When I saw him touch you, I got mad and jealous. Please don't be mad at me. I didn't mean to scare you. I'm an idiot. I just couldn't take it."

"Victoria, you embarrassed me in front of everyone there. Do you see me coming into your workplace and making a scene? No, I don't."

"He touched you without your permission, Ana. What was I supposed to do, just watch him? I won't let anyone—"

"Who touched my daughter?!"

"Great," I mumbled as I turned back and saw Dad and Mom.

"It's nothing serious, Dad."

"I said, who touched you?" Dad screamed again.

"Sweetheart, calm down," Mom said, trying to soothe him.

I turned away because I really can't deal with anyone right now.

"Mr. Blade, I took care of it. It was just a small issue," Victoria answered, clearly sensing my frustration.

"I didn't ask you if it was a small issue or not. I said, who touched my daughter? Tell me his name right now!"

"Dad, don't talk to her that way. Stay out of this and stop treating me like a little kid. I've had enough of it. I'm tired of it. Now, I'm going to say this once. Drop it," I screamed back at him.

"And you," I said, turning to Victoria, "you think beating people up is a solution? You almost killed the man! Now leave."
