real life
it was friday and the bell finally rung, and school was over, but I still had practice and I was going to watch nicky try out, I don't know why I did this to myself, I really didn't have to show up to choir practice but it wasn't really practice it was more for the freshman's to meet the directors, but I already knew them from last year. Plus it was for 30 minutes which gave me enough time to get to the locker room and watch her to try out.
"hey rory nice to see you back! How was your summer" mr woodson said with the bug smile he always has on his face
"it was good I got to help aiden move into is dorm which was fun"
"that's good, how is he liking college?"
"he likes it, mainly because he doesn't have to deal with me or aaron stealing his clothes, how was yours you said to were proposing in June, did it happen?" I say with a big smile while I sit down on the chair in front of him
I loved listening to his love life, and he loved telling me, and in return I tell him about mine and he helps me with everything, he puts me in my place before I go off being delusional.
"I did! We went to new york and went to the bridge like you said so, got down on one knee and he said yes!"
"omg!! Did yall get any pictures!!"
"of course we did" he said pulling out his phone to show me the pictures
I grab the phone and scroll threw the pictures they were on the bridge and they looked so happy. Right before I was gonna say something mrs clark came in.
"aurora your back!" she said coming up to me and giving me a hug
"of course im back you're never getting rid of me" I say while returning the hug
"did you see that tanner proposed?" she said while pulling away from the hug
"yes yall look so happy, I inspire to be like that when I grow up"
"well I couldn't have done it with out your help"
"okay lets set up for the freshmans!" mrs clark said while clapping her hands together
timeskip
all we did was introduce ourselves and talked about our summers and got to catch with some old friends from middle school. But it was now 3:45 which means I have like 15 minutes to get the locker room and say hi to nicky before try outs.
"oh have to go for soccer try outs" I say to mr woodson while grabbing my stuff
" I didn't know you were trying out" he said a bit confused
"im not im just going to support nicky and a friend"
"oh well have fun!"
"thanks! See you later" I say walking
Our school isn't a big school so it wasn't going to be a long walk from the choir room to the locker room, I finally get to the locker room but I was quite, I check the time and its 3:50, 10 more minutes till 4, why is it so quite then? Right before I was going to call Nicole I hear a noise, it sounded like a stall so I go to the restrooms.
"hello, nicky?"
"nope, just me" I hear a voice from behind me
"oh my gosh you scared me" I said as I jumped from the sound of her voice
"sorry, what are you doing here?"
"im looking for nicky"
"oh yeah she's at the field she wanted me to get her water"
"she told me to me to meet her here at 4 to watch her try out"
"oh well lets go back we're about to start warming up"
"okay!"
As we're silently walking to the field lynn breaks the silence by asking me a question
"so why wont you try out for the soccer team I bet youre good"
"well its not that im bad I just don't have the time to make practices and do school like you do, im surprised you're still standing"
"yeah im just multi-talented like that" she said flexing
"yeah yeah" I say rolling my eyes and laughing at the girl
"no but that cant be the only reason"
"well my parents work a lot and they're barely home and which was fine last year cause I had my brother aiden to look after me and my other brother, but he left for college so it just me and aaron, but he's never home cause of all the games and practice. which leaves me by myself, and someone has to look over the house"
"woah, that is a lot, and I could never imagine being in a house alone, I don't know how you do that"
"well I always have nicky or some other friends over so its not as quite, and I have a cat"
"my sisters have been begging for a cat this whole week"
"yeah cats are cute"
"I don't know im more of a dog person"
"well youll turn into a cat person when you meet robin"
"well meet charles and youll be a dog person"
"Charles?"
"yeah its my sisters dog"
"well I would love to meet him"
"well Nicole is coming after try outs, you can come too if you want?"
"sure I have nothing to do anyways, I have to tell my brother though"
"ok cool"
Lynn's pov
I said cool but I was freaking out, I don't know why I invited her, it just slipped out why would I do that. I've had a crush on aurora ever since 8th grade, we're now in sophomore year and I've never talked to her, we had a few classes before but I never had the confidence to actually talk to her, but when Nicole told me we had a class together I was so happy that I could get closer to her and actually talk to her, so far its going good and now she's coming over to my house later things are going good. Wait she's going to my house, the house with 11 kids, omg luna isn't going to shut up about this.
"LOUD GET ON THE FIELD"
"well ill see you later"
"yep good luck" she said with a smile
"thanks"
Yep luna is going to eat me alive
