As the night wore on, the party grew wilder, the music louder, and the crowd more animated. I had just stepped away from the dance floor to grab a drink when I spotted Jungkook weaving through the crowd toward me. It was clear from the way he moved and the slightly glazed look in his eyes that he'd had more than a few drinks.
"Hey there," Jungkook called out with a wide grin, his words slightly slurred. He sidled up next to me, leaning in a bit too close. "Having a good time?"
I smiled, though I could tell he was definitely tipsy. "Yeah, it's been fun. How about you?"
He laughed, a bit louder than usual, his eyes sparkling with mischief. "Oh, I'm having a great time. Especially now that I found you again." He gave me a once-over, his gaze lingering a little too long. "You know, you look even better now than you did earlier. That dress... wow."
I felt my cheeks flush slightly, unsure of how to respond. "Thanks, Jungkook."
He leaned in closer, his breath warm against my ear. "You know," he began, his voice dropping to a conspiratorial whisper, "I've been thinking all night... You and I could make this party way more interesting."
I chuckled nervously, trying to steer the conversation back to safer ground. "What do you mean?"
Jungkook grinned, his smile turning a bit wicked. "I mean... we could find somewhere a little more private. You know, just the two of us. We could... have some fun."
He was clearly joking, but there was a hint of seriousness in his tone that made me uncomfortable. I took a small step back, trying to create some distance. "Jungkook, I think you've had a little too much to drink."
He pouted playfully, though there was still a glint of mischief in his eyes. "Come on, I'm just messing with you... mostly." He gave a half-laugh, then added with a wink, "But seriously, you should see the way you're looking at me right now. I might just start thinking you want to take me up on my offer."
I shook my head, laughing it off, but there was an awkward tension in the air. "I think you need some water and maybe a break from the drinks."
Jungkook sighed, his playful demeanor faltering for a moment. "Yeah, you're probably right. But still, it's not every day I get to party with someone as amazing as you."
I smiled, trying to keep things light. "Let's just enjoy the rest of the night without any more of those jokes, okay?"
He nodded, swaying slightly. "Alright, alright. But you can't blame a guy for trying, right?" His grin returned, but it was softer now, less intense.
I was relieved when he seemed to back off, and I gently guided him toward a quieter area where he could sit and take a break from the chaos. Despite the awkward encounter, I couldn't help but feel a bit concerned for him. It was clear that the alcohol had brought out a side of Jungkook that wasn't entirely him, and I hoped he'd be alright as the night went on.
After a few hours:
As the party wound down and people began to leave, I noticed that Jungkook had definitely had too much to drink. He was swaying slightly and leaning against a wall for support. Concerned, I decided to find some of his friends to help get him back to our dorm.
I spotted Yoongi nearby, chatting with a few others, and quickly made my way over to him. "Hey, Yoongi," I called out, catching his attention. "I think Jungkook needs some help getting back. He's had a little too much."
Yoongi glanced over at Jungkook and immediately understood the situation. "Yeah, he looks like he's ready to call it a night. Let's get him out of here."
