The days continued to blur together in a whirlwind of rehearsals, fittings, and meetings as both Karina and Winter pushed through the final stretch of their respective projects. Despite the intensity of their schedules, they kept their promise to stay connected, carving out small moments to remind each other of their love.

The night before Karina's comeback performance, Winter decided to surprise her. She knew how much pressure Karina was under, and she wanted to do something special to help her relax and feel supported.

After wrapping up her day at the studio, Winter made a quick stop at a small flower shop on her way home. She selected a bouquet of pale pink roses—Karina's favorite—and a small card. She took her time writing a message, choosing her words carefully before slipping the card into the bouquet.

With the flowers in hand, Winter headed to Karina's apartment. She had her own set of keys, so she let herself in, the familiar scent of Karina's home wrapping around her like a comforting blanket. The apartment was dimly lit, and Winter could hear the faint sound of music coming from the bedroom.

Winter found Karina sitting cross-legged on her bed, her laptop open in front of her. She was watching a video of her group's rehearsal, her brow furrowed in concentration. She didn't notice Winter enter the room.

"Hey," Winter said softly, leaning against the doorframe.

Karina looked up, surprise lighting up her face as she saw Winter standing there with the bouquet of roses. She immediately closed her laptop and got off the bed, a smile spreading across her face.

"What are you doing here?" Karina asked, crossing the room to greet Winter.

"I wanted to see you," Winter said simply, holding out the bouquet. "And to wish you luck for tomorrow."

Karina took the flowers, her smile widening as she read the card. "You didn't have to do this, but I'm so glad you did." She leaned in, pressing a soft kiss to Winter's lips. "Thank you."

Winter returned the kiss, lingering for a moment before pulling back slightly. "I know you've been working so hard, and I wanted to do something special for you tonight. Something to help you unwind before tomorrow."

Karina's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "What did you have in mind?"

Winter grinned. "You'll see. But first, put on something comfortable."

Intrigued, Karina nodded and quickly changed into a pair of cozy sweatpants and a loose sweater. When she emerged from the bathroom, Winter was waiting for her in the living room, a soft smile on her face.

Winter led Karina to the couch, where she had set up a little relaxation station. A plush blanket was draped over the cushions, and the coffee table was adorned with candles, a bottle of wine, and a small tray of chocolates. Soft music played in the background, filling the room with a soothing melody.

"Wow," Karina said, her voice filled with awe. "This is amazing."

Winter smiled, guiding Karina to sit down. "You deserve it. I want you to just relax tonight. Forget about tomorrow for a little while."

Karina let out a contented sigh as she sank into the cushions, pulling the blanket over her lap. Winter poured them both a glass of wine and handed one to Karina before settling in beside her.

They spent the next hour talking, laughing, and savoring the wine and chocolates. Winter kept the conversation light, steering away from any mention of work or the pressures they were both facing. Instead, they reminisced about the early days of their relationship, sharing memories and inside jokes that made them both smile.

As the evening wore on, Winter pulled Karina closer, wrapping her arm around her shoulders. Karina rested her head on Winter's chest, feeling the steady rhythm of her heartbeat. The warmth of Winter's embrace, combined with the calming atmosphere she had created, made Karina feel truly at peace.

"You know," Karina murmured, her voice soft and drowsy, "I don't think I've ever felt this relaxed before a big performance. Thank you, Winter. This means so much to me."

Winter kissed the top of Karina's head, her heart swelling with love. "I'm glad. You're going to be amazing tomorrow, Karina. I have no doubt about that."

Karina smiled, her eyes fluttering shut as she allowed herself to fully relax. "As long as you're there, I'll be fine."

"I wouldn't miss it for the world," Winter whispered, holding Karina a little tighter.

They stayed like that for a while, the silence between them comfortable and filled with unspoken affection. Karina drifted off to sleep in Winter's arms, the stress and tension of the past few weeks melting away.

Winter watched her sleep, her heart full of love and admiration for the woman she had fallen for. She knew how much this comeback meant to Karina, and she was determined to support her in every way she could.

After a while, Winter carefully shifted, making sure not to wake Karina as she got up to turn off the candles. She cleaned up the remnants of their evening, her movements quiet and deliberate. When she was done, she returned to the couch, gently lifting Karina into her arms and carrying her to the bedroom.

Winter tucked Karina into bed, then slipped in beside her, wrapping her arms around her once more. Karina instinctively snuggled closer, her breathing deep and even. Winter closed her eyes, feeling a deep sense of contentment as she held Karina close.

Tomorrow would be a big day, but for now, they had each other. And that was all that mattered.
