The Soul Crystal, a universal currency of the demon realm, is a form of high-grade currency. Unlike gold, silver, or copper coins, the value of the Soul Crystal lies in the tortured and despairing souls imprisoned within it.

Profound pain and deep-seated hatred can give rise to some of the most terrifying powers in the multiverse, and it is precisely this power that demons and devils covet, making the Soul Crystal their favored currency.

However, the demon general was destined for disappointment today. After Vansas delivered a fierce blow, the thunderous roar of his attack did not yield the screams and wails he longed to hear. As he bent down, Vansas saw nothing but the swirling smoke and dust that enveloped the area.

Ah! Those damned humans, those cursed vermin! Why won't they perish? As the smoke and dust gradually settled, the demon general's disappointment deepened upon spotting the unscathed human boy, who had managed to hide even deeper.

Perhaps I should have exerted more strength, moved faster, so that wretched creature wouldn't have escaped. With this thought, a brutal expression flickered in the demon general's eyes, and he thrust his massive battle axe deeper into the cave's depths, accompanied by a more piercing wind.

Boom! Another thunderous sound erupted, and Vansas felt an odd sensation in his battle axe, as if he had just expended all his strength only to find it had come to nothing. After a moment of shock, the demon general suddenly considered a possibility.

Could it be that I have broken through this cave? Vansas thought, a hint of pride swelling within him. But then, his expression darkened as he suddenly heard a cacophony of terrified screams from the other side of the hill, unmistakably from the cowardly demons.

Aha! That twisted demon is indeed suited for digging tunnels. Tsk, tsk, those cowardly demons would never expect me to launch a surprise attack from behind!

Dahn effortlessly felled a dozen cowardly demons, scattering the panicked creatures who were caught off guard by his sudden assault. Then, with remarkable speed, he darted away into the distance. Beside him, Jesseta, who had cast an acceleration spell on both the boy and herself, moved with a swiftness unbecoming of a lady, swiftly distancing herself from the still-dazed demon army.

"Indeed, those two vermin have fled! Hurry, pursue them!" Vansas bellowed as he raced to the top of the hill. At that moment, Dahn and Jesseta had already become mere specks in the distance, shrinking further away.

However, as Vansas charged forward, fueled by rage, Dahn and Jesseta remained firmly within the demon general's line of sight. Behind them, countless demons followed suit, moving like a swarm of locusts, howling as they pursued Dahn and Jesseta.

This was a pursuit devoid of reason; the demons had completely forgotten their original purpose. Under the leadership of the berserker demon Vansas, they were singularly focused on chasing the two humans, intent on catching up to Dahn and Jesseta and exacting vengeance on those who had dared to offend the demon general's dignity.

The demons' intentions were not lost on the fleeing Dahn and Jesseta. They understood that slaughter was the demons' natural inclination. However, the notion of an entire army abandoning their mission to chase after two unexpectedly encountered humans was beyond Dahn's comprehension, defying all logic he had been taught.

Those lunatics just keep chasing and chasing.

After running for an indeterminate time, Dahn noticed that the sky of the demon realm had once again become glaringly bright and hot. His stomach growled, and his throat felt as if it were on fire. Although Dahn, possessing seventh-tier fighting spirit, could continue running, his stamina was nearly depleted.
