Ch 16: Sport Festival (Part 2)

As people faced a great door opening from the side of the stadium a bang rang throughout before anyone was ready and as they began rushing out of the stadium it was quickly apparent that the small width of the exit was the first obstacle in the race, as all of the students within the tunnel began cramming, Suddenly the temperature dropped within the tunnel, and most hero students and nearly all of class A noticed what was coming next. The floor was suddenly frozen over by a wave of ice released from Todoroki who used this opportunity to take the lead.

"AND WE'RE OFF TO A COLD START! COURTESY OF CLASS 1-A'S SILENT LONER! TODOROKI!"

But the ice wasn't enough to stop those who noticed, as they jumped or used some other ability to evade the ice, this single move by Todoroki singlehandedly eliminated a grand majority of the competition in seconds.

"Not so fast, Half and Half!" could be heard from the crowd as Bakugo exploded out,

"Hows this for the smallest threat?!" An instigating tone could be heard from Izuku's voice, but he was nowhere to be seen, suddenly rocket launched by pulling the straps on his right hand expel Izuku to the front of the crowd just behind Todoroki.

From the survivors, Mineta a midget launches out. "TODOROKI, YOU CLEARLY HAVE NOT IMPROVED IF YOU STILL USE THE SAME MOVES AS BEFORE!" Mineta shouted as leaped forward trying to grab onto Todoroki only for a sudden and speeding metallic hand smash into him sending him off back to the crowd.

"HERE WE GO! FIRST OBSTACLE! A FIELD FULL OF THE ROBOTS FROM THE ENTRANCE EXAMS! WHAT DO WE CALL THIS OBSTACLE MUMMY MAN AIZAWA?!" shouts Present Mic through the comms system

"Stop shouting so loud Mic. This first obstacle is called the robot inferno," says Aizawa who was also in the commentator box the whole time

Towering before the students stood not only one zero pointer from the entrance exam, but a hoard of them, including also packs of 10 pointers, masses of 3 pointers, multitudes of 2 pointers and infestations of 1 pointers. A gasp of surprise escapes Yaoyorozu's mouth as wonders exactly where the school gets their funding for stuff like this.

As Todoroki slows down in front of the robots he seemingly waits for them to swing at him "A bigger challenge would be nice..." suddenly a barrage of cold escapes his feet, "Since that geezer is watching" the bots freeze in place, allowing for multiple tunnels to form through the masses of metal that he runs through calmly.

"Idiot he created a path for us!" shouts a student that runs behind him, but the bots crash before him, blocking his passage

"I wouldn't have done that, I froze them mid swing after all!" shouts Todoroki, a little bit too late, but his monotone voice didn't seem to match the idea that he cared.

As the dust falls some students shout and panic about the way they saw students be crushed by the bots, pondering the mortality of their fellow freshmen, only for Kirishima to break out of the rubble fully hardened by his quirk, "It's going to take a lot more to kill me! Rahhhhh!"

"IT SEEMS LIKE KIRISHIMA GOT CRUSHED! BUT HE WAS SAVED BY HIS QUIRK! Aizawa would you be a dear and explain it please?" Mic's voice explodes through the comms

"Kirishima's quirk is Hardening, his skin can toughen up to become a rough, rock-like surface, the name etymology also comes from design/engineering where an object hardness is measured by its proness to surface damage through dents, scratches and more."

"IT SEEMS THAT HE'S CAPABLE OF BEING THE STRONGEST SHIELD AND THE STRONGEST SPEAR!"

Suddenly another student breaks out of the rubble fully coated in steel by his quirk, "I won't be taken down by some Class A elitist! Rahhhhh!" He shouts

"IT SEEMS LIKE TETSUTETSU FROM CLASS B ALSO GOT CRUSHED! BUT HE WAS SAVED BY HIS QUIRK! Aizawa could you please explain it ?" Mic's voice explodes through the comms

"Tetsutetsu's quirk is named Steel, his skin can change and become steel, Steel is a compound high in hardness meaning its quite resistant to damage in the form of dents, scratches, and others."

"IT SEEMS THAT HE'S CAPABLE OF BEING THE STRONGEST SPEAR AND THE STRONGEST SHIELD!" Shouts Mic

Kirishima dashes away from the rubble as tears comically fly from the corners of his eyes "They basically copy pasted our introductions and our quirks this is too unfair!!"

"ARE YOU DUMB HALF AND HALF?!" It seems like a fourth of July celebration the way the that the sound of fireworks fill the stadium from outside as Bakugo shoots himself above a Zero pointer. "I WOULD NEVER LET YOU GET THE LEAD IN A DUMB WAY LIKE THAT!"

"With your personality! I was sure you'd blast through!" Sero screams as he swings over the same robot by retracting his tape rapidly "But you avoided the fight! You're full of surprises huh?"

"Allow me to follow your example!" says Tokoami using his dark shadow in a very similar way.

"THE CURRENT LEADERS OF THE PACK SEEM TO BE PRIMARILY FROM 1-A!!" announced Mic.

"People will think we're being biased, but even though the other classes aren't bad," says Aizawa as Uraraka smashes robots with her gravity. "Class A knows there is no time to hesitate. They've been exposed to the outside world, up and personal, and nothing will hold them back until that world they met is bellow their expectations,"

The camera bots all switch their views to what they would consider a massacre, as a blur of green hair dodges out of the way from getting hit by a 3 pointer and using its momentum to make it crash onto 3 10 pointers. Hardly being able to keep up the camera keeps panning around as the greenette dodges a robotic punch once again, this time blurs of grey hits and wraps around the weak points on their arms. Planting both of his feet on the torso Izuku pulls out the arm of the robot, then spins it around and throws it back with enough force to dent the machine putting it out of commission. "Yeesh I could spend the entire day here just to train for hero work, I might have to ask a teacher to allow me to do this in my free time, but I have no time, I guess we're simply going to rely on my footwork for the rest of the inferno,"

It is not too long before Izuku's pupils contract and his feet begin to nearly dance, dodging swings from multiple robots in a row and darting and dashing between dodges, finding hairline thin windows between both active robots and rubble. And what seems like just a few seconds for the outside world in Izuku's mind it all slows down, to the point that he knows moments where sticking out his arm or a foot would screw him over royally, and the adrenaline of that allows him to focus so much more. Finally, he makes it past the last line of rubble arriving at the next obstacle.

Before him lies a pit that falls so deep that sunlight cannot illuminate its bottom, standing within it are multiple columns all connected by steel ropes. Obviously, the challenge was to get across each rope and reach the other side through the ropes, but other forms would probably be faster, allowing himself to ponder Izuku thought about how Asui his classmate could use her natural climbing ability, jumping ability, and tongue strength to jump from pillar to pillar with no worry of falling since she could catch herself. He also thought of the advantage Sero could have here if he swung from rope to rope quickly, Of course Todoroki could just run over while creating Ice underneath himself, for Izuku the only way he could think of was climbing underneath the ropes as fast as he could, well that's a lie, he thought of using the ropes on his hands to latch on to the ropes and swing like he believed Sero would, but he didn't trust his untrained skills with a complicated tool yet, so he went on, climbing the lame way knowing that the only way he'd be able to come through and live up to his own speech at the last check point.

"THIS ONE IS REALLY SLOWER, IT SEEMS MOST PEOPLE LOST THEIR MOMENTUM WITH OBSTACLE NUMBER 2! THE FALL OF DEATH!" says Present Mic

"Well, of course, they did, this is a complicated obstacle where one missed step kills you, well not really, of course, there are safety measures to ensure that the kids survive the sports festival."

"What kinda of school focuses on survival instead of plain old safety" Izuku grumbles as he drops down onto the second rope of the obstacle.
