11. Big Changes

After Jake arrived, he took a seat on one side of the picnic table, making Heeseung sit on the other. You stood on the side just staring for a minute.

"Can we like sit on the ground in a circle or something? I don't want to choose sides here." You clasped your hands together.

They both let out a sigh as you plopped yourself on the ground behind the table. Each taking a seat next to you to form a kind of circle-ish shape. You leaned back on your hands, as you thought of how to open the conversation.

"Ok so you start." You stared at Jake, waiting for him to speak.

"Ok then. Firstly, I already apologized for the kiss. It was totally out of line and I know that. I wanted to say sorry to you because it was all just supposed to be teasing. I know you guys have something going on..." He trailed off, scratching the back of his neck.

Heeseung kinda just looked at him with this funny expression. Like he was constipated or something.

"I guess I should say too, in the moment I just froze. Leaving it like that made me so anxious. I thought you might be mad that I didn't throw him off." You couldn't bring yourself to look up at either of them. The next few moments of silence felt so loud.

There was a deep sigh, "I wasn't mad at you, it just made me question a lot of things..." Heeseung started, making you finally look up in confusion. His face was beet red.

"Look man I'm so sorry-" Jake went to speak but Heeseung put his hand on the younger man's leg.

"Just listen for a sec. At first I was pissed at what Jake was saying. When you said that's enough I was worried you were uncomfortable. Then the kiss happened..." He took a deep breath in. "I know this sounds weird but I need you guys to do it again."

What now? Did he actually just say what you think he said? Your face was frozen in confusion.

"I'm sorry, what?" Jake was the first to speak. His forehead was wrinkled from how bad his eyebrows were crunched down.

"Yeah, I'm not understanding." You looked at Heeseung who looked like he was about to explode.

"Just please do it? I need to understand what I'm feeling and I think it will help all of us." He spoke, putting his hands over his face.

You looked to Jake who didn't seem too keen on the idea. Of course you liked Jake but enough to kiss him and in front of the guy you kinda have a relationship with? That felt illegal.

"Are you sure Hee? I don't know if this is a good idea." You grabbed one of his hands to pull it away from his face.

"It's ok. I'm asking you, aren't I?" He looked you in the eye weirdly sincere.

You turned to Jake who shrugged, "I'll do it but are you ok with it?"

"I don't even know what I'm doing." You sighed, scooting in front of Jake. One last glance at Heeseung who was now fully tuned in with his fingers spread open for him to see. This is literally insane. Fuck it.

Jake reached his hands up to brush your cheeks before pulling you in by your neck. Holy shit this was actually happening, he is so pretty up close. You are definitely dying right now. His eyes were focused on your mouth as you got closer and closer. Your eyes shut as his soft lips pressed against yours. You know when they say the world feels like it stops for a moment? Yeah that's real. He didn't pull away until a few seconds later, gently releasing his grip on you.

What the fuck did you just do?? Remembering the reason this just happened made you turn to look at the man who was silently watching. His eyes were open wide, his face still covered by his hands.
