Change Of Tactic

After requesting a time out Kunigami and Igarashi offered to take you to the infermary, the little monk considering it payback for the ice you had given him  "It's alright now. You can return to your game, I'll send ( L/n) back to your room when we're done." said Miss Anri waving the two other boys away.

The woman sighed " Thankfully it isn't anything bad, if you still feel dizzy please come back and eat your meals. Your food intake along with your training has been especially modified. " she explained and you nodded as a bandaid was softly placed on the bridge of your nose " Boys can be rough, but keep it up. " she said patting your head and sending you on your way.

3-5 was the final score of the Team Z vs Team X match, your team loosing, after your little accident Barou kept scoring point after point effortlessly and along with the points he managed to gather his team around him, unlike your teammates who were fighting each other until the end, with the exception of Kunigami, Isagi and Bachira who cooperated to score the last point. 

You shook your head, you knew that you were going to be fine according to the story line but it would be an understatement if you didn't feel irritated by the loss. So this is how you found yourself sitting down with the boys to decide on a strategy by pointing out your strong points “ What about you ( L/n)?” asked Kouon and you had to hold yourself back from saying anything " I'm an all rounder, don't really have anything specific." you said and the boy nodded. Your little meeting ended with you, Isagi and Chigiri not really having any special techniques noted down and with Kouon having come up with the " I'm the next 9" tactic which even though you knew in theory you had to actually practice for.

Huffing you gulped down your water " Hey we're going to hit the showers are you coming ( L/n)?" asked Bachira and you shook your head " Maybe later, I'm gonna head for dinner first." you said and the boy nodded before heading off with the rest ' Having to take off the binder and contacts is really messing my schedule up.' you thought heading towards the dinning hall " Oh hey, Isagi." you greeted " Hey ( L/n). Did you come to get dinner as well?" he asked and you nodded " Wanna share?" you asked scanning your number and taking out a fresh plate of curry " For real!?" he asked and you smirked " If I joked about something like that it would just be bad taste." you said pouring half of your food in your rice plate and handing Isagi the rest.

It was silent as the two of you ate with your brain thinking whatever an isekaid person could be thinking, Isagi spared you glances every now and then ' ( L/n) seems pretty distant, a bit harsh especially when he plays and sad at times but is actually pretty nice.' he thought " Can I join you two?" asked Kunigami and you nodded " Weren't you scolded for not eating all of your food?" asked the orange haired boy looking from your rice bowl to the plate sitting next to Isagi " Do you always get Nato as a side dish?" he asked him and Isagi sighed leaning back to his chair " Yea, this is what you get when you're a low rank like me. Aren't you going to eat?" asked the blue eyed boy " I ate earlier, I actually came to see you Isagi- No, you can stay ( L/n)." he said as you got ready to move to another seat " I just wanted to say thanks." said Kunigami making Isagi look at him puzzled " Thanks for the pass!" thanked him Kunigami. There were a few seconds of silence " The one from the game?" asked Isagi " Yea, I figured that I should thank you." replied Kunigami " So you came all the way here just for that?" asked Isagi and the other boy nodded awkwardly " Yea, goodnight." he mumbled ready to leave.

As Kunigami gave Isagi his reason for playing soccer you slipped out to go and take a bath ' They're interaction is cute but it's already late and we have a game tomorrow. By the time I am done  they should already be sleeping.' you thought entering the bathroom and locking the door behind " Damn you Raichi my nose is all bruised up!" you spat and  coughed ' My voice is also getting weird from changing it all the time .' you thought removing the bandage and then the skin sticker on the wound around your neck ' It got irritated, probably because it doesn't have air to breath because of the sticker....I really need to wrack up on goal points to get a day out.' you thought removing the contacts and binder ' I hope Shin is doing alright.' you thought entering the shower.

Returning to the room you cracked the door open and looked inside ' Yep, they're completely passed out.' you thought tiptoeing to your own futon and tacking yourself in " You know it's past the curfew right?" whispered Bachira from behind you and your body tensed up " I....I kinda fell asleep in the bath. Since Ego didn't call me out on it, it should be fine." you whispered not turning to face him " Just be careful. Night~" he said and you heard him shuffling in his blanket ' He didn't say anything. It's dark so he probably didn't see anything.' you thought trying to calm down your racing heart. 

Standing in the field you tighten your shoe laces ' I'm stuck on the back again, well not that it really matters. Maybe I could....' you turned to look at Chigiri ' Maybe I could jab that confidence of his a bit. I know his going to be fine buuuuutttt.....' the boy turned to look at you probably feeling you stare, he jumped a bit and then quickly looked away making you raise an eyebrow " They're here." said Isagi as Team Y entered " Please don't slam my head on the goalpost." you said passing Raichi " I already told you I was sorry!" he barked gritting his teeth.

The first part where Bachira had the ball went as it was in the original story, there was no space for you to intervene, until Kunigami took the ball. He passed and the field seemed open for him to score so he took the shot only two be blocked by two players. As the ball bounced  off and the tried again your view changed " Wait don't leave your position!" said Chigiri " Sorry but, I can't just sit still when there is a goal right in front of me." you said and dashed off. Niko's teal eyes widen as you stretched your your leg forward blocking his pass to Okawa " Too bad, so sad." you mocked sticking your tongue out and running forward " BLOCK HIM!" he yelled, you slid the ball back and kicked it with the back of your heel " Nice pass!" cheered Kunigami and you made a circling motion, he hesitated but nodded.

Okawa run to your side as you neared their goal " Now that's just sad. We both know you can't play defense." you said and taking the shot as Kunigami passed you the ball. Niko sucked in his lips as Okawa glared at you " Why did you leave your position!?" asked Kuon scolding you " To score." you said and the brown haired boy started yelling at you ' Like I care about a sly low self esteemed scheming piece of shit has to say.' you thought scoffing as you returned to your position.
