The wind whispered through the tall, slender pines, carrying with it the scent of damp earth and fallen leaves. Armenia stood before the simple headstone, its inscription etched in cold, unyielding granite: "Georgia, Beloved." Tears welled in her eyes, blurring the inscription as she reached out to touch the smooth, cold surface.

A wave of memories crashed over her, vivid and painful. The first time they met, the air crackled with nervous energy as they both stumbled over their lines during a school play audition. The shared awkward laughter, the late-night study sessions filled with whispered jokes and stolen glances. The thrill of their first kiss, a spark that ignited a fire that burned bright and fierce.

A sharp pang of grief tore through her as she recalled the day it all changed. The school dance, the music pulsing, the air thick with anticipation. A sudden commotion, a fight breaking out in the crowded hallway, the panicked screams.  Georgia, rushing to help, a stray punch landing with sickening force, the world turning dark.

The memory of Georgia's last breath, a ragged gasp that echoed in her ears, sent a fresh wave of tears cascading down her cheeks. She sank to her knees, burying her face in her hands. The cold stone beneath her felt like an icy embrace, a stark reminder of the emptiness that had swallowed her world.

A gentle hand rested on her back, a warm touch that seemed to melt the icy grip of grief. She flinched, startled, and looked up, her eyes searching the empty space around her. The wind rustled the leaves, but no one else was there.

"It's cold," a voice whispered in her ear, a voice that sent shivers down her spine. It was Georgia's voice, soft and familiar, a voice she thought she'd never hear again. She turned, her heart pounding, but saw nothing but the swirling leaves and the gray sky.

The hand on her back pressed gently, a comforting gesture that brought a wave of warmth to her chilled skin. She closed her eyes, letting the warmth seep into her, and a smile slowly spread across her lips. It was Georgia, she knew it. He was there, with her, in the cold wind, in the whispering leaves, in the warmth that enveloped her.

She leaned back into the touch, finding solace in the familiar comfort. The tears continued to flow, but now they were tears of bittersweet joy, a testament to the love that transcended even death. The world around her faded into a blur, and all that remained was the warmth of his touch, a whisper of his love, a promise that he would always be with her.
