"What was forbidden has always been attractive to human curiosity. Perhaps the prohibition of incest has something to do with our deep-seated desire for the unattainable." –Friedrich Nietzsche

The first thing I felt in the morning was a presence inside of the room. This wouldn't be an oddity on normal occasions, but Yuki wasn't sleeping beside me.

That means she's hiding somewhere around here.

It's not anyone else, that much is obvious from the distinct sound of her muffled breathing and the faint scent of shampoo.

So, should I act clueless?

I guess I will.

Opening the curtains, I let the morning sunlight shine in as I got off the bed.

All of a sudden, I felt a hand grab my ankle.

Now, for the sake of it, I'll play along.

Jolting forward, I tried to shake the hand off my ankle.

Of course, without using too much force, otherwise I might hurt the little brat.

When I finally managed to free myself, I looked back, and underneath the bed was Yuki, staring back with a devilish smile, one arm sticking out.

"Bahahaha! I bet you thought you were going to die from some monster! I'm a woman of my word!" she laughed loudly at me like a villain.

Hmm.. royal lineage, indeed.

She did say she would hide under the bed a few days back.

Her idea of keeping a promise is rather off. It's hiding under my bed like some discount horror movie creature and jumping out to give me a heart attack. But the real horror is the fact that she probably spent all day planning this ridiculous ambush, thinking it was the peak of genius.

'"Bahaha! Haahahaa... Haa..."

Then, her laughter suddenly died down and her arm fell on the floor with a smack. As she lazily moved her hand back under the bed, she gave me a deadpan look.

"Help me out,"

"What?"

"What?"
