Dandy's Advice (2) (A DW AU Preview)

I felt the ichor course through my veins, the one sided viewing window not far from me. A few now empty capsules were scattered around me. I felt Dandy's stare burning through my back as I grew taller, ichor now pouring like tears from my eye.

The sound of a stopwatch clicked, ringing through my ears. A cheery voice spoke through the speaker of the containment cell I stood in.

"Aaaand done! Wow, 2 gallons is 30 minutes! Who would've guessed? You can turn back now, pal!"

I sighed in relief, falling to my knees and thinking of a few positive memories, the ichor leaking through my eye slowly coming to a halt.

Now, I was sitting in a large puddle of 2 gallons of ichor. The containment cell door slid open, revealing the bright and chipper rainbow flower himself.

He giggled, running up to me and patting my back, making me cough up a whole ton of ichor I did not remember swallowing. "That was an excellent performance, Asy! Sure did blow me away!"

I nodded silently, stumbling to my feet and shaking off the excess ichor from my four hands. My red twinkle flickered with exhaustion.

"T-thanks, Dandy...." His smile dropped, turning into a frown. He put a hand on my shoulder gently, tilting his head with concern. "D.....do you need a break..?.....I understand if you do, this kind of work can be very tiring..."

I shook my head vigorously. "N-no, I'm all good..." I rubbed my scar, ichor threatening to leak out. Dandy narrowed his eyes before picking me up, taking me over to a suspiciously comfortable lounge chair, and dropping me down onto it.

"It's been months of doing these experiments, Asy, and not once have you even stopped to sleep. You will rest." I looked away, fidgeting with the end of my night cap using my upper set of arms. I sighed, nodding, a bit annoyed. "Fine...."

He flopped down beside me, cuddling into my side. "Besides, I need sleep, too......and I couldn't just leave you working alone....." he mumbled, his breathing slowing into a steady slumber.

I lifted up one of my hands, a few blue sparkles forming at my palm and spinning above Dandy before disappearing. Now he'd get some good rest...
