Amir quickly understood the nature of the so-called internship tasks. It was actually quite simple: complete any one of the bounty tasks within six months, with no specific requirements regarding the task's difficulty.Amir soon discovered that the tasks were categorized into four difficulty levels: C, B, A, and S. Each level corresponded to demons of the same grade. He decided to examine the C-level tasks. The extensive dropdown list surprised him. There were 20 tasks per page and over a hundred pages in total. The sheer number of tasks was overwhelming.Scanning through, Amir noticed that the tasks were arranged by their publication date. He randomly selected a task from the first page and clicked on it.The bounty task page was quite simple. At the top was a large section with a summary that detailed the basic information of the task. For example, the task Amir clicked on was described as follows: "In Country X, City XX, at location XX, there have been abnormal disappearances and deaths among humans. The number of disappearances and deaths has reached five within the past six months. Preliminary investigation confirms that a C-level demon is responsible. Hunters are requested to go and eliminate the demon."Further down the page were details of the task's bounty and points: 50,000 yuan and 300 points, respectively. Additionally, there was a note stating that if the task was completed within a specified time frame, there would be extra rewards of 15,000 yuan and 100 points. At the bottom of the page were two buttons: "Accept Task" and "Reject Task."Amir noticed that both buttons were grayed out and unclickable. He realized that this was likely because another hunter had already claimed the task, which was why the buttons were disabled.Since this task was abroad and Amir had no plans to travel overseas in the near future, he exited the page.He then clicked through several other C-level tasks at random. Most were similar to the one he had just viewed. Some had already been claimed, while others had not. For tasks that were still available, the "Accept Task" button was blue and clickable. Once clicked, the "Reject Task" button would turn blue as well, allowing him to cancel a task if needed. From the descriptions, Amir noted a general pattern: sudden, unusual cases of death and disappearance in certain areas would prompt the guild to investigate whether they were related to demon activity. If it was confirmed that demons were involved, the task would be posted on the bounty board for hunters to claim. He observed that C-level tasks had similar rewards, with bounties generally under 50,000 yuan and points not exceeding 300. Completing a task within the specified timeframe could yield an additional reward of about 30%.However, Amir soon identified some issues with these tasks. Most of the task descriptions did not provide information about the demons. They would only state that the investigation had determined the involvement of a demon, but the demon's identity was not specified. Occasionally, tasks where the demon's identity was known had significantly lower bounties and points. Such tasks were often already claimed, as most hunters preferred straightforward tasks where the objective was clear and the demon could be directly confronted. This made it challenging for Amir to find tasks with a definite target. For those with uncertain targets, it required him to investigate on-site, which, although he had never done before, he could imagine would be quite complex. With only six months to find and complete a task, he worried about what would happen if he couldn't locate the demon in time. After searching for a while without finding a suitable task, and seeing that the tasks that didn't require investigation were all located abroad in remote or unstable countries, Amir sighed and exited the C-level task page. After some thought, Amir was still curious and decided to browse through the B-level tasks. There were fewer B-level tasks, with just over forty pages. The descriptions were similar to the C-level tasks, except that the demons to be dealt with were B-level. The rewards varied significantly, with bounties ranging from 100,000 to 500,000 yuan and points between 1,000 and 5,000. Additionally, there was a 30% extra reward for completing the task within the specified timeframe.Amir also noticed that besides dealing with B-level demons, these tasks sometimes involved situations where the exact level of the local demons was unclear, or there could be multiple C-level demons. Such tasks generally had a bounty marked as "Undetermined."After reviewing the B-level tasks, Amir moved on to the A-level tasks. There were very few of these, just over a page with fewer than 30 tasks. The bounties for A-level tasks were around one million yuan, and the points were over 10,000. Moreover, the extra reward for completing a task within the stipulated time increased to 50%. This meant that the rewards for completing an A-level task were quite substantial. If completing an A-level task could provide enough rewards to last for years, Amir thought, he would likely never need to work again. However, given his current ability to handle only C-level demons, such a reward seemed out of reach. While browsing, Amir noticed that A-level tasks differed from B and C-level tasks in two ways. One type was team missions, which required a group of hunters due to high danger levels. The other type was bounty notices, which only featured a wanted poster with the demon's photo or illustration, known identities, and a detailed list of crimes. These additional task formats highlighted the increasing complexity and risk associated with higher-level missions, emphasizing the need for advanced skills and preparation.Amir clicked on a bounty notice to examine it closely. The man in the photo appeared young and handsome, with a polite smile that made him look like a university lecturer rather than a demon. However, the detailed list of heinous crimes below the photo was filled with brutal and bloody acts, revealing the man's terrifying nature. The bounty amount was a staggering 7 million yuan and 50,000 points, the highest reward Amir had seen so far. To his surprise, the "Claim Task" button was gray, indicating that someone had already taken this bounty. This must be a highly skilled hunter, Amir thought. It takes considerable courage to take on such a task.He wondered if Zahra's skills ranked among the top hunters. He recalled the stunning and enigmatic silver-haired woman.Just then, the door to the room opened, interrupting his thoughts."Amir, what's wrong?" Noticing Amir's troubled expression, Dina approached with concern.Amir looked at the suddenly enlarged, cute little face and the big, blinking eyes before him, and he couldn't help but feel a bit touched."No, it's nothing," Amir said quietly, stepping back slightly to maintain a respectful distance. He didn't want to come across as a creep."Are you worried about the internship task?" Dina asked, oblivious to Amir's current thoughts and stepping closer."Yeah, a bit," Amir admitted. He was now more concerned about not letting his emotions get the best of him around the innocent girl."Don't worry," Dina reassured him. "I went to ask Sister Zahra for help. Even though Zahra is a bit cold and doesn't talk much, she always answers questions clearly, unlike some people who like to mess with others." Dina puffed out her cheeks, clearly upset as she spoke."Zahra? Zahra?" Amir was startled by the mention of her name and didn't pay much attention to what Dina said afterward. He quickly asked, "She lives here too?""Yes," Dina nodded. "Even though Zahra has a house elsewhere, she lives here most of the time when she's not on a mission. The girls' rooms are upstairs."Amir, realizing he was spending the night in the same house as the silver-haired beauty, felt a mix of awkwardness and inexplicable excitement."Zahra said," Dina, completely unaware of Amir's reaction, continued, "The internship task isn't very difficult, and experienced hunters sent by the headquarters will assist you, so there won't be too much danger.""It's like a newbie protection period," Amir thought, similar to new player protections in many online games that prevent players from being overwhelmed before they reach a higher level. Here, it's about preventing new hunters from being killed by demons right away."Probably," Dina said, looking up with her big, watery eyes, and asked, "Amir, do you want to give it a try?"He still hadn't chosen a task. In fact, he hadn't even decided whether to undertake this so-called internship task. The thought of the demons he had seen before made him shudder, and he wanted to avoid them as much as possible, let alone confront them. But remembering what D had said about trouble coming if he didn't complete the internship task within the specified time, he felt a headache coming on.He didn't want to attract trouble, but why did it have to come looking for him?"Amir, don't rush. Take your time to think about it," Dina said, sensing his anxiety. She took his hands and comforted him, "There's still time. If you have any questions or need help, just let me know. I'll be here for you."Feeling the softness and warmth of her hands, Amir was momentarily taken aback. It was strange to be comforted by a little girl; it didn't feel right at all.Thinking of this, Amir smiled gently and said, "Yes, thank you. I won't be shy about asking for help if I need it."Dina breathed a sigh of relief and smiled, "Great! You should rest well today. I'll have some food sent to your room later. Tomorrow, I'll show you around and help you get familiar with the place.""Alright, sounds good," Amir replied with a smile, and then watched as Dina left. After receiving so much information throughout the day, Amir felt a bit overwhelmed and decided not to think about it any further. Dina was right; he had plenty of time and didn't need to rush. He shut down the computer and prepared for rest. The room was well-equipped, like a high-end hotel single room, and the private bathroom even had a Jacuzzi. After a relaxing bath, he quickly ate the food that was brought to his room and then fell onto the bed, sleeping soundly until the next morning.
