The night settled over Kongpob's room like a velvet curtain, the quiet hum of the city barely reaching his ears as he lay in bed. The day's events—talk of ceremonies, laughter, and tender moments—played on a loop in his mind. Despite the joy, an ache grew within him. He had given his verbal approval to Arthit, sealing their commitment, yet now, as he lay alone in the dark, the reality of their bond felt overwhelming.
His phone pinged with a message from Arthit:
मिलने आएंगे हम आपसे ख़्वाबों में
ज़रा रोशनी के दिए बुझा दीजिए
अब और नहीं होता इंतज़ार आपसे मुलाक़ात का
ज़रा अपनी आँखों के परदे तो गिरा दीजिए.
(I will come to meet you in your dreams.
Please extinguish the light.
I can't wait any longer to meet you.
Please close the curtain of your eyes( and sleep ))
Kongpob frowned. 'Why did you have to remind me you're not here?'
Detached at first, Kongpob had become a clingy lover once he opened his heart—craving touch, needing to be near Arthit. He longed to pull Arthit beside him, to lay his head on Arthit's chest. Alas! Harry potter world is not real !
He sent Arthit a picture of the empty space beside him. Childish, maybe, but he knew Arthit wouldn't mind. In fact, his husband loved this clingy side of him.
Arthit's reply came instantly, accompanied by a picture of a bolster wrapped in a blanket, mimicking the way Arthit had wrapped Kongpob earlier."But I am beside you," Arthit's message read.
Kongpob smiled.
'You already found my replacement? :(' he replied.
"Can you be replaced, my love? How will I ever find another you when God made only one?"
Pleased, Kongpob felt his heart swell. 'Right answer, Mr. Husband.'
"I can't sleep... You're bad... addictive..." Kongpob typed back.
"I told you... close your eyes and feel me... I'm right beside you, as you are right beside me."
"It's the scent..." Kongpob replied. "Imagination can't bring that."
"Just four days, amore. Do you still have the audios I sent you?"
"Of course, I do. Is that even a question?"
"Listen to them, then..."
"No... 🫥" Kongpob replied stubbornly. The songs would only make him miss Arthit more.Suddenly, his phone rang.
"My Kutti is mad at me?" Arthit asked gently.
"Not mad... just sad," Kongpob whined. "Feels cold and blue..."
"Why did you refuse to listen to the songs?"
"They make me miss you more... make me wonder why you aren't beside me, singing them to me. They make me crave you more, alpha..."
"You're making me want to break into your house, love."
Kongpob giggled. "Anna would have your head. By the way, I was writing something... want to hear?"
"Is that even a question? What is it? new story ?"
"Just a one shot. The omega is missing his bad boy alpha, who made him addicted to his presence."
