"Hello Ma." I mumble swiping the phone call on.

"Did you reach there? Did you meet her? How are they? Is she-" I chuckle at her rapid fire questions,

"Ma, take a deep breath, hmm?" She sniggers but does what she's told.

"Now to answer your questions, We landed an hour ago. I met Voni. You won't believe she has grown up alot. And she's grown into a notorious girl. Lovely, nevertheless. " Voice laden with affection I convey to my mother, who I am sure must have tears in her eyes by now. My suspicion get confirms when she sniff softly.

"I am fine, but I miss them. Did you meet Y/N? Are they both-"

"I haven't met her mom. It just happened that where we were buying ice cream for Yumi, Voni and her uncle were there too. So I am yet to meet her." I utter, focusing on the road ahead.

"Can you send me Voni's picture? Or better, can you Video call me? Are you with her right now? Can I talk to her now?" I shake my head fondly at her eager self,

"I am going back to the hotel room. Some issues with check in. Although, they will come there. So, I will make sure to connect you all with video call."

"I can wait for few more minutes, sweetheart." Her voice delighted and I feel peace settling in my heart.

Pieces are finally getting back together.

"Right, I know you don't want to hear this right now, but promise me you won't cut the call and listen to me?" Brows raise in suspicion at her anxious voice,

"Why would I cut the call ma?" Steering the handle, I take the turn towards the parking space of hotel, careful of the SUV passing by me.

"I have a proposal for you." I turn off the engine, putting the phone off the speaker as I step out from the rented Aston Martin.

"Are you making a deal with me Ma?" A chuckle leave past my leaves as I walk towards the elevator to reach the reception on the ground floor.

"No I means I have a proposal for you, in its literal sense." Her voice unsure reach me the exact time the door of lift opens up, indicating I arrived my destination.

"I am not getting it Ma, can you tell me what are you talking about?" I exchange formal smiles with the manager, who seems to have been waiting for someone.

"Wait a minute, Ma. Hold up."

"Mr. Kim, I am sorry for the inconvience. We have cleared the issue. "

"It truly is inconvience. I thought we talked it through, Mr. Ray." My tone professional as I mention the shortcoming of their service. Our arrival got delayed due to the unexpected meeting, but what if we encountered this problem when we reached here? Given how tired we were and how caution I am of my safety, I am sure it would have been more cumbersome.

"Apologies, Mr. Kim. The hotel will compensate for your inconvience. "

"Is it available to use? I am going to check in now. "

"Yes, sir. Sure. Here are keys." He turns round to grab the keys from the counter. With a tipped smile, I take the keys from him. Moving towards the elevator to reach my floor.

"Ma, you there?" I question, and smile when she quips in promptly.

"Yes, did you reach the hotel? Is the issue solved? Did you check it through?" I sigh at her impatient questions.

"Ma, one question at time. As per your answers, I reached. I checked in just now. The issue is solved. Moving towards the apartment to check myself if there's still anything left."
