Y/N's P.O.V

"Good morning, Miss Min." My head bow down at the greeting of the elderly lady, lips stretchng into a grateful smile for her time.

After receiving the acceptance letter, the first thing I did was searching for baby sitters. I would proudly say that after investing my whole weekend, more than 15 interviews, I finally found someone who's wise and gentle while taking care of kids. I might or might not have cried after her interview, she's truly epitome of the grandma figure- don't tell my mother but she's much more calmer and saner than my mom.

"Please, I would prefer if you call me by first name." Opening the door, I step aside to let her in. She smiles, her wrinkles becoming more prominent when she smiles at me before beaming at the sight of my little one. She's in her late 50's, and don't go on her short stature, I believe she's much more active and healthy than me.

"Good morning, pumpkin. How are you doing this fine morning?" Closing the door, I turn around, melting at the sight of my daughter and Mrs. Shin embracing each other.

"Monin!" Chuckling, I move towards the kitchen, taking out the ingredients to prepare the breakfast. I still have plenty of time before I depart so for today, I believe I can enjoy my breakfast because once I start working, it will be a chaos.

"Mrs. Shin," her head turns towards me, the soft smiling never leaving her face.

"I am preparing her fruit bowl, the first thing you have to do is make sure she has finishes her fruit bowl."

"Don't worry, sweetie. I will take care of her, just focus on your work and take care of yourself. Are you taking lunch with you?" With a sheepish smile, I shake my head. Due to the whole baby sitter interview, I couldn't go for grocery shopping, so all I have in my pantry is cereal, few fruits and ramen.

"I will have something in cafeteria. I will buy the grocery while coming back so I might get late by an hour or so. I hope that's fine." My eyes peer towards her, afraid she might decide to quit because I am asking for overtime on the first day.

"It's fine, sweetie. Take your time, I will be here till the time you return." Letting out a relieved sigh and grateful smile, I finish eating my cereals. Most people like their cereals with different flavors and toppings, but I have always opted for the orginal no flavor pack with seeds and banana toppings. You can say my breakfast has been same since highschool. No particular reason, but I like it better when it's bland- my mother would say that but it's true.

"Bye bye, baby." I crouch down in front of her, she's still eating her fruits, and the juice drips down her chin when she gives me her gummy smile. Wiping out the dripping from the tissue, I place soft kisses on her cheeks.

"Be a good girl, till mumma comes back? If granny doesn't complain then I will bring strawberries for you, okay?"

"Ye!" Mrs. Shin chuckles at her enthusiastic nod. Did I mention, my baby absolutely love straberries? If I have to admit a secret, she loves strawberries even more than chocolates. I cannot decide if this should make be happy that my baby prefer a healthy thing or worried that she might overrun her love for strawberries and then won't ever touch the fruit.

"Mumma loves you, Voni. Take care of yourself, hmm?" I hold her tiny hands in mine, looking into her hazel eyes.

"Ye ma-ma. Lof you." Placing one last kiss on her forehead, I pick up my sling back and bid my adieu to Mrs. Shin.

💫

"You can do it, Y/N." Giving myself a little nod, I step out of the cab. I am still not familiar with the metro routes, and given that I couldn't possibly check in late on my first day, I will just keep the task for the after office hours.
