Chapter Five (5): Scared

I woke up at about 11:00 PM and Jentrie wasn't in bed where she was last night. Wait. Jentrie wasn't in bed where she was last night! I panicked and ran to my mom's room. I shook my dad as hard as I could. "No, you can't come get in our bed." My dad moaned. "No, Dad! Wake up! Jentrie is gone!" I yelled as my mom jerked up from her pillow. "Huh? What? Jentrie's gone!" My mom yells. "We already figured that out."
About five minutes of searching the house later, we couldn't find her, so we called 911 and filed a missing child report. Then I thought about the situation for a second. "She's with Josh."
Four hours later I turn off the alarm and call Jentrie's phone. She surprisingly answers. "Hello?" She asks. "Hey, it's me. Meet me at the Waffle House in Atlanta." I order. "Why? I'm almost asleep!" She asks me. "Where are you?" I reply. "At Josh's house. Why do you need to know?" She answered. "Because my parents are looking all over for you! And why are you out of the house at 3:00 in the morning?" I question. "Because Josh invited me over, and I didn't want to be rude!" She answered. "And I'm not leaving until 7:00 tonight." She told me. "Fine. I'm still telling my parents where you are, though!" I scolded her and hung up the phone.
About five minutes later I go back inside and rush to my mom's room. "Mom! Dad! I know where she went!" I yell. "Where? And why?" My dad asks me, eager to know just as much as my mom was. "She's at Josh's! She told me that Josh invited her over
and she didn't want to be rude so she went over there!" You say. "What?! She shouldn't even be out of the house right now!" My mom replies in shock. "I need you to help me find his house and get her back here!" I instruct as they moan and get dressed.
About an hour later we spot Jentrie and Josh walking down a sidewalk. We pulled over in front of them and exited the car. "Parker! You aren't supposed to be here!" Jentrie yelled and started to run away, but my mom caught her by running in front of the car. "Jentrie! You aren't supposed to be out of the house at 3:00 in the morning! Why did you leave?!" My mom screams. "Josh wanted me to stay the night, and he...Josh..." She starts to mumble. "...Josh didn't even know my real name until now...I told him my name was Misty..." Jentrie whispered and Josh walked up from behind the car. "Why...what just happened...I thought you were Misty..." Josh questioned. "Th-that's my nickname! Now leave me be!" Jentrie yelled and ran away sobbing. Me, Josh, and my parents quickly hopped in the car, but by the time we were in she was gone. "I guess we could drive around a little and see if we find her?" Josh suggested. "Sure, good idea!" I reply and my mom starts do drive away slowly.
