In the evening Khushi could hardly contain her joy as she prepped for her birthday party, orchestrated by none other then Karan. Growing up in a bustling family was often chaotic, but today was filled with a kind of magic she relished-the thrill of celebration. Her cousins Aadi, Ali and Aryan, as well as their families, had all planned to attend, but work commitments had dashed those hopes. Only Lovish, her childhood companion and cousin, was certain to arrive, and he would be her primary source of happiness tonight.
Karan had made waves as a prominent businessman, keeping his personal life under wraps, including his relationship with Khushi. But all that was about to change. Tonight wasn't just about the party; Karan planned to reveal Khushi to the world as his sister, breaking his long-held silence about their family ties.
Khushi was nervous. She didn't want to be known as the sister of a big businessman. She cherished living a simple, ordinary life and avoided unnecessary attention. That's why she protested when Karan, insisted on revealing their relationship.
"Karan, I don't want people to know. I like things the way they are," she had pleaded.
But Karan, ever persistent, had said, "One day, you'll have to reveal that you're my sister. So why not now, on your birthday?"
Reluctantly, Khushi had agreed.
At the party, the guests were mingling, and Karan was busy greeting everyone. Victor, who seemed to be in his element, was paying attention to everyone around him. Khushi, meanwhile, was tense, knowing she would soon be thrust into the spotlight.
"Clara, go get Khushi and bring her down," Karan instructed his secretary, a playful grin on his face. Leaning close, he whispered in Clara's ear, "And by the way, you look too hot in that dress. You deserve a little punishment, baby girl." Clara blushed deeply at his teasing, her cheeks turning a delicate shade of pink.
With that, Clara made her way upstairs to fetch Khushi. When she opened the door to Khushi's room, she was met with a stunning sight. Khushi sat at her dressing table, her reflection glowing in the mirror. Their eyes met through the glass, and Clara was momentarily stunned by Khushi's beauty.
"You look so beautiful," Clara whispered, admiringly.
"Thank you," Khushi replied, her voice soft. But it was clear she was still tense, her mind occupied with thoughts of the press conference and the impending attention she so dreaded.
"Let's go," Clara said gently.
"Okay," Khushi answered, her nerves evident as she stood to face what was to come.
The glittering chandeliers illuminated the grand hall as Khushi emerged from her room. She wore a stunning gown that shimmered like stars in the night sky.
Her heart raced with anticipation-would this night change everything?
As she danced down the staircase, she met the gaze of Victor, He always made her feel safe, but there was something electric about the way he looked at her tonight. His protective presence made her feel special, yet oddly nervous. After exchanging shyer-than-usual smiles, she spotted Lovish entering, and her excitement exploded-she hadn't seen him in what felt like forever.
