Chapter Fifteen
I'm Covered In Your FavorEloise's brow furrowed in concentration as she wrestled with the stubborn violin, her fingers clumsy and unsure on the strings.
Lilith watched with amusement from a plush armchair, her chin resting on her hand. Eloise, ever the stubborn one, had refused to admit defeat, insisting she could master the instrument, despite her blatant lack of skill.
"Dear god, Eloise" Lilith chuckled, rising from her chair, "You look as if you're trying to wrestle a snake"
Eloise, cheeks burning with embarrassment, bit her bottom lip. "It's...it's just...this pesky little bow" she stammered, struggling to hold the instrument in the proper position.
Lilith, her eyes sparkling with laughter, walked towards her, her footsteps light on the thick Persian rug. She settled behind Eloise, her cold presence radiating through the thin silk of Eloise's dress.
"Let me help you" Lilith murmured, her voice laced with a gentle encouragement that sent shivers down Eloise's spine.
Lilith's touch was light at first, a guiding hand on Eloise's, teaching her the correct way to hold the violin. Her fingers brushed against Eloise's, sending a jolt of electricity through her. Eloise's breath hitched, her heart a frantic drum against her ribs.
"Be calm like the moon" Lilith whispered, her breath warm on Eloise's ear. "Let the bow glide, gently at first, then build up pressure"
Eloise tried to control her breathing, the scent of Lilith's perfume, that familiar scent of lilies, even after all those years it was still so intoxicating. She leaned back, her head resting against Lilith's shoulder, feeling the cold of her body against her own.
"Yes Eloise" Lilith breathed, her voice a soft murmur.
A wave of pure heat washed over Eloise, the feeling so unlike anything she had ever experienced. She couldn't help but shiver, the icy chill of Lilith's touch a sharp contrast to the warmth of the violin.
Lilith moved to stand in front of Eloise, her posture composed yet her eyes holding an intensity that took Eloise's breath away. She watched as Eloise's fingers danced across the strings, the melody faltering at times, but the emotion echoing in the notes.
"Don't stop, Eloise" Lilith murmured, her voice a siren in the ocean of feelings that drowned Eloise.
Eloise's heart hammered against her ribs. She swallowed hard, her throat dry. The air seemed to thicken around them, heavy with unspoken desires.
"Lilith" she breathed, her voice a mere whisper, the sound a testament to the whirlwind of emotions consuming her.
Suddenly, the door burst open, interrupting the spell. Mary, her face beaming, skipped into the room, her laughter tinkling like wind chimes.
