MADELINE'S POV ⛓️
I ended up leaving my house before it was time for two reasons. One being that I didn't want to run into Iris if she did come back. Kayden raised a brow about it and said something about how we're joined at the hip.
The second reason is that I want to spend as much time as I can with Jared. I'm being clingy but he's my favorite person at the moment and his presence is so calming. Sure enough, I found him there- looking dapper.
We're all such lookers and it's no surprise because our parents are stunning. Jared picked the perfect time for this, the sun will set soon and I hope it'll be in time to capture the look and Morty and Debbie's faces.
After the reveal, we'll dance and eat cake- I hate cake- and then we'll go home and look forward to the baby's arrival. I've had the honor of seeing Debbie's list baby names and I'm excited to see what they'll pick.
I'm not going to have a list. I already decided to name my first child/children after Iris and Jared- their middle names anyways. Brenda and Dominic, depending on their gender.
After everything was set, we just had to wait for everyone to show up and we filled that time by talking. I confessed to Jared how the fight was at the back of mine and how confident I am in my abilities. How I wouldn't even care one bit if I lost and he told me not to lose my fire. I didn't cry, I'm a big girl but his words did everything I thought they would.
Kayden and Luca were the first to show up and their outfit choices did not disappoint. Kayden was wearing a dress shirt that was folded to his elbows with a vest over it and shorts paired with ankle boots. Luca was wearing black pants, a black turtleneck, a black leather jacket and black Jordans. Black is his favorite color, I'm sure.
While Jared wore tailored dress pants, a slim-fit premium shirt, a blazer and dress shoes and I wore a peach colored, backless, slim-fit dress that reached my ankles.
I watched, sidelined, as Kayden introduced Luca and Jared- who immediately warmed up to him. I told him there was nothing to worry about. That and the fact that it's impossible not to like Luca.
The scene I was dreading soon came. Iris and Mitchell had arrived. I tugged on the sleeve of Jared's shirt and he pulled me in front of him, just like when I was a kid. I steadied my breathing and forced my racing heart to calm.
We still had to put up appearances for those that weren't privy to our "situation" so I returned it when Iris hugged me. I ignored the heat that spread through my entire being and peeled myself off her to greet Mitchell while she walked into the cocoon that was Jared's arms.
I, again, watched as she introduced Mitchell and Jared. I refused to meet her eye no matter how hard she tried. I just stood there, my whole body covered by Jared. Morty and Debbie need to get here fast.
And they did. I smiled at the fact that I 'summoned' them. Jared had to hold me, Iris and even Kayden back from hurling ourselves at Debbie. She's so beautiful. I can't describe it. She's even more magnetic than she was when I first met her.
"Mortyyy!!" That was Iris. I like how easy it is for the men in our family to carry us. We love getting picked up like we weigh nothing.

Soft lights and music accentuated the beauty of the evening. Soon, it was time for the reveal. The deal was to make them close their eyes and eat a fruit that was placed in the bowl in front them. Since it's a girl, the fruit is strawberry- it's as simple as that.
It's almost golden hour when our parents showed up and I had my camera ready. There was a professional photographer present but these are for me. They complained that we don't visit them enough, as usual. The introduction with Luca and Mitchell was even strenuous.
As expected from my family, they're the coolest. The countdown began and we all held our breaths as they popped the fruit in their mouths.
A shrill scream echoed, followed by a swoosh as Martin swept Debbie off her feet and spun her around. Cheers erupted from every side. I decided I've taken enough pictures and launched myself into the beautiful commotion happening.
There were tears in Morty's eyes so, obviously, I had to say something. "Are you crying?" He tried to wipe the tears and glare at me. "Guys, we have a crying old man on our hands." He chased me, with little effort and flung me over his shoulder until I begged him to put me down.
I just knew, in that moment, that once this little girl was born, Debbie would have some serious competition.
-I've never been to a gender reveal party before and I'm unapologetic about how I wrote this chapter >_<
Oh, and the thing about me hating cake is true.
